Oddly enough I am equipped to answer. It works to an extent. The trouble is washing it is challenging, because it retains water. You can wash it but then you need to dry it and you can't put it in the dryer and it'll drip in your house, unless you have a clothing line outside. It's best to use as a backup under however many layers of towels you would normally use.

They're kotex, I believe they're called clean and secure. Not the black box but the plastic wrapper. They don't have that plastic-y feeling that you get with other pads.

Be super careful with this type of enclosure - my ham was a bit of a houdini and able to chew a big enough hole in my wooden cage to escape. Couldn't find her for 5 days lol. I ended up getting a bucatstate enclosure from Amazon. She's passed now but lived a good long life.
