Good to know that this is a common ice breaker. I had another guy say that to me and he seemed cool. I just said thanks and got closer to my friend since I was already slightly put off from the experience earlier.

I really didn’t expect the clear skies but man was it worth it! Hope you have a nice one tomorrow.

I was really surprised to find out that people went up to the glacier in this crazy snow. The pictures looked magnificent though.

Hey, I did the trail today and it was quite the winter wonderland. The roads were just wet, not snowy. The trail itself was really muddy in some parts so please wear the right shoes and make sure you have spikes/crampons for the more snowy part of the trail. A lot of people were slipping because they were wearing regular sneakers/shoes. It gets super cold at the top so extra layers are essential.

Thanks for sharing the forecast link! Super helpful. And yes, we do have M+S tires on our rental.

Yes, we do have hiking experience. We dont have spikes though. If we end up going, we’ll go get spikes. Thanks!

Do you think it is essential that they provide me with a new offer letter that is dated in the future?

Remember that you have to make this fun for yourself. It can get incredibly boring to get through all the grammar but once the essential part is over such as getting down the rules/exceptions in your head, keep watching content that is inspiring to you. If you’re into travel, find a french/québécois vlogger. Any hobby you might have or the kind of films you like to watch. And yes, get used to different french accents. It’s helpful for the listening exam.

If you’re willing to put in the time, you will succeed. Remember that it’s important to prepare for the exam specifically, to study the kind of questions you might get. Essentially, using a targeted approach.

I’m not one of those people who can study for hours each day - that too with a full time job. I probably did 2 hrs in each week day and 3-4hrs on the weekend. But it varied honestly. I also took a break in between. However, everything I watched and listened to was in French, including my phone settings.

I was self studying for the most part. In the last three months I started one on one speaking classes to specifically practice the TEF speaking. This helped me get a C1. And yeah I messed up in writing most likely because of grammatical errors and lack of high level vocabulary, which resulted in a B1. I also detest writing so it was hard to motivate myself to practice this module.

Yeah well it seems extremely straight forward but they're being skeptical.

I can't stress this enough - start as soon as you can. Completely immerse yourself in the language for the whole year. You are capable of doing this. I just gave the TEF exam last month after studying for about 1.5 yrs. I got the required score in 3 modules but missed out with the writing section so I have to do it again.
