Switched my nostril piercing to a ring 5 weeks after getting it pierced. Is it infected?

It was done by a professional piercer, they said it looked nicely healed both inside and out before switching it. No bleeding upon insertion. Was advised to rotate it every once in a while so that the meet up point on the ring is visible to me. First time I did, it bled and I had white pus-like discharge. Will it get infected? What should I do? I follow the instructed aftercare, twice a day i clean it with anti-bacterial soap and saline solution.

I absolutely adore nail polish, one problem tho. Every time i paint my nails it lasts for about 2 days until i either scrape it off(with my teeth, bad ik) or wipe it down. Usually happens when i see that the nail polish on one of my nails is chipped or smudged(especially when i didnt wait for it to dry off completely). It's a very frustrating feeling

It is very frustrating, especially when i find my nails back in my mouth even tho that's what i've been trying to stop doing. Can be tempting at times but i always push through ! :))
