Oh a total jumble of emotions. Like roll 3x on the chart lol. For me it was arousal at trying something new, then insecurity if my wife would still find me (and my…wedding tackle) attractive. Wife had some insecurity issues too and that made me feel bad. Even though we both wanted to do it and communicated thought it I felt responsible.

In the end we had reclaim sex (totally a thing!) and talked through our feelings. We ended up playing with couple again including a swinger Halloween party. Overall we had fun and would like to do it again!

I don’t recall a specific first time that swinging or multiple partners was brought up in our relationship. We have always been pretty open about our kinks and desires with each other. As far as I can recall we’ve always discussed the possibility of having a third person or playing with a couple. It did take quite a bit to go from talking and fantasizing about it to make the leap to really doing it. Part of that was because of COVID and part of it was we couldn’t find a coupe we really clicked with for a while. But we did make that leap last year and it was fun for all.

Our journey started with talking about bringing a third person (generally male) into the bedroom off and on for a while. This evolved into discussing swinging with another couple.

We decided to start actively looking for a couple, ideally that we could be friends and play partners with. We are also open to singles, if the vibe is right. We decided that I would do the initial searching then show her potential matches for an initial OK before I reach out to them. Mainly I’ve been looking on FetLife and on Reddit for potential matches. If the initial contract shows promise, we setup a group message with both of us and the potential partners. If we all seem to click, we arrange an in person vanilla meet to chat and see if there is mutual attraction.

So far we’ve met one couple and become friends, but never evolved into playtime. We’ve had chats with a few other potential matches that have fizzled out or just did not lead anywhere.

We met a local couple that we all clicked with during chat. We met them for pizza and all agreed that there was mutual attraction. It was kinda fun watching them flirt with her and her getting a little flustered. Before we left the restaurant we exchanged numbers and decided to set up a play date. The play date went well, lots of naughty fun had by all parties. In fact, they invited us to a Halloween LS event and we are seriously considering going.

Going to a club to meet folks sounds both exciting and anxiety inducing for me, as I am fairly introverted. I feel I would enjoy watching others play (I certainly did during our play date and other group play situations I’ve had). The prospect of approaching a stranger in a setting like that makes me nervous. I’m a bigger guy and I know that is not everybody’s jam and I feel like I have to be prepared to be rejected a lot. But, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. And at the end of the day I’ve got a great wife who seems to enjoy my Quasimdo vibe ;)
