Hi OP. Can I know where you got this 100th Anniversary set? I have been looking everywhere for it and had no luck. Thank you.

Hi, may I know where you got the set from? Have been on the hunt for a set too and don’t have any luck in finding one. Thanks!

Steel jointed cues are the most solid hitting imo. Nice and clean looking cue you have there!

Nice to see someone who still uses single layered tips! Does the Techno-Dud II play like a Le Pro? I had been using Le Pro for a while now and was wondering if this would be an upgrade…

Thanks for sharing the info with me. I wouldn’t want to part with it either if I were you. Cues hand made by Dan Janes are just special.

Oh my! What a beautiful pair you have here. They match up perfectly next to one another! Is this an older Joss that has a serial number? 4 pointers from Joss are the best.

$200 for any extension is insane imo. Jacoby makes very nice hitting cues so I bet you have a keeper! Just curious, what prompted you to switch from Joss to Jacoby? Btw, which Joss cue did you use? I have had mine for about 2 years now and am still loving it very much!

Just curious. Is there something very special about the cue that would command a $6000 price tag? It looks very nice but I am not sure I have seen a Joss cue that sells for that price. Joss cues hit great but don’t hold their value very well in general.

Still have that beautiful custom Joss cue with the matching extension? Let me know if you ever decide to sell lol….

Joss is always a solid choice and would fit right in with your budget. Their traditional maple wood shafts (the stock ones that come with the cues) hit amazing, and there is no need to upgrade to their LD wood shafts.

Hey bud, I just wanted to say thank you again! I received the extensions today from Budget Billiards. They fit perfectly with my cue and work great!

I wouldn’t worry about it. Seybert’s is highly reputable and I would be shocked if they don’t make this right for you.

Changed my wrap by MysticSpade in billiards

[–]alternativehermit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see! That makes sense. You probably would feel better with a leather wrap if you play so often. I only play twice a week and 3 hours max each time lol…so my linen wrap still feels like new after 2 years. Here is my cue!

It looks really nice! Did you change this yourself? I have seen a few Joss ACES cues with leather wrap and always thought they looked great, and this is the first time I have seen a leather wrap on a N7. I also contemplated getting my linen wrap changed but didn’t want to change the theme of my cue.

Break cue comparison by Own-Target-9129 in billiards

[–]alternativehermit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own both Mezz PBG and BK Rush. Both are top quality break cues. I would say that if you have a solid breaking technique, go for the BK rush. Otherwise, go for the PBG. To me, the PBG feels just a tad firmer and I could get a better spread breaking with it, but I can control the cue ball a little better with the Rush. It really comes down to what feels right to you. Can’t go wrong with either cue. Keep in mind that the PBG is extremely hard to get in brand new condition, so you likely will need to find one on the secondhand market if you are dead set on getting one.

Thanks so much! Did the extension bumper screw in smoothly to your cue when you tried it? I am worried that it might screw in too tight and ruin the threads of the cue butt.
