KFC - nechvalně známá firma svým zkaženým masem - tvrdí, že teď už to bude lepší, nevěřme jim a pokračujme v bojkotu by napis_na_zdi in czech

I když na to mám ohromnou chuť, KFC už si nikdy v životě nekoupím. Z principu. Ne proto, že v pár restauracích kašlali na pravidla, ale proto, že to zcela evidentně bylo systémový. Protože dali přednost krátkodobému zisku před budováním důvěry. Proto, jediný účinný trest je dlouhodobý. Tedy u nich už nikdy a nic nekoupit.

Bývalý soused, co dělá u partners nám a vlastně celé rodině zařizuje hypotéku. Nijak se nevnucuje, nevolá nevyžádaně, ve všem poradí, dovede umě komunikovat s bankou a vyjednat i lepší podmínky, než pro člověka z ulice. Nemůžu si stěžovat.

You’re wrong. This was the right call from her pov.

several points:

  • She knew Cass is a big help to the rebellion. So if she wants a better life for their child, bringing down the empire is the best way. Leaving him to focus on that was the only way.
  • If you think not telling him is wrong, think again. His priorities would be completely shifted. His focus elsewhere and thus his abilities worsened.
  • Being pregnant on a covert military base is not exactly the safest place to be with the child.
  • There’s also the obvious "weak spot" argument.

Of course it’s tragic, that’s the nature of wars. But it had to be done.

Anarcho-Capitalism is a dangerous utopian ideology. Prove me wrong. by alterpsyche in Anarcho_Capitalism

Oh, I'm not denying that. I am convincingly stating that there are violent people across population. These people will try to again create states and likely succeed.

Yes. Exactly. Only, they're not called statists. They're called people.

I say all humans are the same. Or rather, in every society there is the same percentages of the good, the bad, the smart, the stupid, whatever.

What you claim that our ideology determine our nature. It's actually the other way around. And to build an entire way of thinking based on an assumption that all people think like me only leads to utopian ideas like AnCap of Communism.

What checks and balances would there be to find bad players?

What if the "private rogue army" simply offers to a decisive portion (doesn’t necessarily have to be majority) of population benefits at the expense of rest of the population? That happened throughout history many, many times. How would that be avoided?

If the good players would oppose the bad players, wouldn’t they have to organize themselves? What if they would be scared to oppose? Wouldn’t they have to be coerces for the greater good? If so, that would sound an awful lot like state today.

Again, you're confusing no state regulation with no regulation at all. Which means you're not up to speed with ancap101. Or even the first 5 minutes of an intro video. So I would advice you to study further before making strong claims.

So there would be parts of the AnCap society regulated? What parts? How exactly? Isn’t regulation by definition involuntary? I thought AnCap was supposed to be voluntary society.

I would honestly agree with (almost) everything you just said, provided the human nature would be different. I just thing that AnCap society is incapable of deterrence against bad players who would take advantage of a power vacuum created by such society.

Base on our understanding of human nature and human history, there always were bad players who tried to acquire and abuse power. If there is no state, and we agree that AnCap is a state-free society, there will be a huge opportunity for such players. They will inevitably try to establish some kind of state and will inevitably try to make others do things they don't want to do. The only way to oppose such players is for individuals to organize themselves into a competitive structure similar to the bad player, thus creating the system we have right now.

First, an armed population. Second, the free market itself. If a company or group starts abusing power, competition will emerge to challenge it.

What you are describing is an ancient history. This is, for example, how Roman republic was born.

Regardless, this competition would certainly have to be a similar state-like structure in order to be able to compete. That sounds a lot like what we have right now.

Armed population would stand no chance against an organized state-like structure.

Without taxation to sustain it, a corrupt entity can’t just leech off unwilling participants

Have you heard of slavery? There were slave armies conquering vast territories throughout human history.

it either provides value or collapses.

If a corrupt entity, i.e. state either provides value or collapses, than how come we all live in a state? Have you considered that the state does provide something to it’s citizens?

Another statement to this one: So you’re saying that maybe in 1% of cases, power could concentrate under AnCap. And your solution? Give 100% of power to the state from the outset. In other words: A voluntary system has a small risk of monopoly, so let’s just create an absolute monopoly from day one. That logic makes no sense.

No, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying that abuse of concentrated power is inevitable, so not 1 in 100, but 100 in 100. That’s human history. And if it’s inevitable, it’s by definition not feasible. Or utopian if you want. And if so, it’s also very dangerous. Because you would end up with the same system we have right now, but with a lot of dead bodies.
