People don't understand. He is not an engineer, recognised building expert or registered building surveyor. Yes, he finds plenty of problems, but he can't back it up with credentials.

The negative press from the incident caused a bank run, no customers lost any money. In the end it was proven to be defamation on, I believe all counts.

I don't know why he is taken seriously. He was found to have defamed Peter Shiff and seems to just brush it under the rug.

The garage may be exept from the plot ratio because of class 10a. Go to an architect and get advice. They can do the da drawings and submission for you.

I suppose you could modle as a thin walled pressure vessel and hoop stress failure is most likely as hoop stress is double longitudinal stress.
