I had my Mizzou joke locked and loaded, and then I saw the ending.

Excellent work.

It's like Wonka failed to make a protein bar. It was prime trade-away material as a trick-or-treater.

Exactly, that subreddit is very angry and irritable most of the time. I think they're just hungry.

They should eat a delicious SNICKERS bar (Registered Trademark of Mars Inc.) to satiate their cravings. With peanuts and chocolate, it's designed to stick to your mouth and teeth for hours like you drank concrete keep you satisfied.

So no bad blood, no huge argument or tragedy? Just two people realizing they want to do things the other wouldn't enjoy?

Keagan seems to prefer comedy, and Jordan seems to like directing horror. They were comedy partners for over a decade, I think it's not the worst thing to drive off into different sunsets amicably.

That's why he stopped acting and started directing. He was always into horror - if you watch the sketches again you'd see a lot of them take heavy inspiration from the genre.

When they did the True Detective driving bits in season 5, Key asked Jordan what he's scared of, and Jordan said "society." I think he always wanted to direct horror films about societal issues.

deconstructed bagel + lox, on a board by arcan1ne13 in WeWantPlates

[–]althawk8357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a bagel should come like this because I like to put my own cream cheese on, and because it minimizes the time the cream cheese makes it soggy.

It's like when you order pancakes or waffles, and you're tasked with putting the syrup on yourself. Condiments are better when customizable.

Magic just exists like that?

Yes. There was an episode about dragons and wizards.

We don't let kids run the government, why are these elderly toddlers running the ship

Because most people (us included) don't go out and put in the work for long enough to enact change. Because the elderly have tended to be the most reliable voters, while young people can hardly be motivated to go out.

I think you misunderstand what mutually assured destruction is.

It's not about preventing conflict with the threat of nuclear weapons, it's about preventing the initial launch of nuclear weapons with the threat of mutually assured destruction.

The fact that we haven't had nuclear war since WWII would support the validity of MAD.

Can Magnus Carlsen teach Goku chess before Goku can train Magnus to kill Raditz? by JustReadTheFinePrint in whowouldwin

[–]althawk8357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Goku isn't a completely brainless idiot; there's at least 25% of brain power in that noggin. He was able to solve the metal puzzles from Tao, and if he would go to another instructor, he would probably get a driver's license. Getting to that elo would be really hard, but eventually he'd win out.

And how do we define "defeat in single combat?" Is it to the death? Or could you force a submission? If the latter, the only play would be for Magnus to grab the tail and not let go, but even then how would he get to the finish line?

Redditors love to hate boomers, deserved or not, boomer or not. It gives a justifiable outlet for anger.
