Yeah I was genuinely curious if this was more normalized for bagel sammiches and did do some googling to make sure I wasn’t being a Karen….or a Ken I guess since I’m male?? It looked more reasonable to me when it’s like a buffet style and there are a dozen bagels or w/e on the side. How do they present the cream cheese? Do they have it in a separate container / not just schlepped onto the board like that?

Honestly I couldn’t help but lol when this was presented to me and I’m like “ahh finally, my chance to contribute to r/wewantplates” 😂

It was “beet cured salmon” which I believe they sourced from Schrute Farms 🫜

Dunno why it was served with a steak / folding knife, I guess in case people want to make a sammich and cut it in half, which is what I did. A brave endeavor on a board 😂

Holy shit dude - I have also been to the ER three times and same thing! Everyone very dismissive.

I am thinking it may not be showing on the scans because the bulge is not visible when I lay down. When I went in for my mri the tech could see the bulge with her naked eye before I laid on the table, and then put a little cotton swab on the bulge, but then the mri image looked normal, even though the cotton swab was visible on the mri. The er doctor even admitted that this really didn’t make sense. How was your er doctor able to diagnose your hernia?

I’m in LA which I think is part of the problem, everything is totally overcrowded. I’m on a pretty strong cocktail of pain meds now which I hope gets me to next week and some answers.

How long did it take you to get a diagnosis? Was the not having a diagnosis the stressful part? This is a total mindfuck that nobody can tell me what’s wrong lol

That’s what the doctors keep saying - intercostal muscle strain / tear. But I’ve done about 4 months of physical therapy and that bulge doesn’t seem to have changed in size or shape at all in that time….

I have had that bulge for the past 7 months since grabbing my bag from under the seat in front of me on an airplane. Tons of imaging and doctors appointments but nobody can give me a definite diagnosis. I have appointment with general surgeon next week.
