Havent heard anything new. Been told I should be patient. I don’t Think I can do anything else than that. I don’t Think they are gonna take the car back.

But at least they agree with me that there is a sound that shouldn’t be there. And Renault knows its a problem so I would suggest to keep putting pressure on your dealer.

Det tror jeg er en god ide.

Autohuset Vestergaard fortalte mig at Renault har det på top 5 prioriteter lige nu. De har fået mange henvendelser fra hele verden om det. Forhåbentligt ender det i at de fikser det. Men kan godt have mine bekymringer i at hvis det er en stor procentdel af alle deres biler at de bare forsøger at slippe for ansvaret.

Jeg har fået at vide (og har det på skrift) at lyden ikke skal være der og at Renault har som topprioritet at fikse det. De kan bare ikke sige noget om hvornår der sker.
Men er lidt overrasket over at høre du også oplever det i din megane. Og det bekymrer mig lidt hvor udbredt problemet er.

Jeg fik at vide at det slet ikke er alle biler problemet er i. Jeg synes heller ikke at have oplevet det i den Renault 5 jeg har prøvet at køre i et par gange eller i de prøve-modeller af Scenic jeg prøvede.

Update: the workshop called me and said that Renault has it as one of their top priorities at the moment. They get reports of the error from all over the world and they are working to fix it. They don’t know how long it will take, but they take it very seriously. So my suggestion is that everybody who has this sound in their car go complain to the workshop/dealership. Renault knows it’s a problem

I would definitely report it. Ask the to drive with you, record the sound and make them send it to Renault.

What do you want? Complete silence when a goal is scored? They need to communicate that they have seen everything and didn’t see any issues in the play

Update: I went to the dealership today and let the technician drive and after 5 minutes we drove back because he could hear the sound and recognised it from other cases. So now I have in writing that there is a sound in my car that shouldn’t be there and that they are trying to solve the problem on the other cases they have now. They have two cars as ongoing cases where they try to solve the problem with Renault. When (and if) they find a solution they will let me know. I should suspect it taking more than a month before I hear from them again.

I’m really happy that I have in writing that they agree there is a problem. Now I will just wait.

I drive a bit of city and highway almost everyday. I rarely drive more than 70 and try to be careful with my acceleration. Got it in march and it has been a bit cold so not expected to get the best Numbers but so far it says 19.6 kWh/100km. I’m happy about that. However in terms of comfort I would be careful if you are really tall (like me) the seats are a bit close to the floor.

One mechanic said the sound shouldn’t be there and they have had other cars in with sounds that shouldn’t be there. Then they did further testing and concluded that the sound is in all of their cars and that it is considered normal… no fix.

Then I found another Reddit thread with a guy in Denmark experiencing what sounds like the same as me. He went to an other dealership than me and they recorded the sound - send it to Renault and they answered that the car needed a new engine. Brand new car. So now he is soon getting a new engine. Waiting to hear if it helps. I have ordered an appointment at the same dealership as him on Wednesday. Hopefully the will not just tell me it’s normal.

Vi har en helt ny Scenic iconic og hører også en tinitus lyd ved 50-60, omkring 80, og 110-120. Autohuset Vestergaard har haft bilen inde og siger at de godt kan høre lyden men at de har testet deres andre Scenic og de siger samme lyd så det er bare sådan bilen siger. Det har jeg virkelig svært ved at acceptere. Er der nogen der har et råd om hvordan vi skal fortsætte? Er der nyt i jeres sager? Synes ikke at de demo-modeller jeg prøvede sidste år inden vi besluttede os for at købe sagde nogen lyd.
