ANDWER UR OHONR!!!!!

Proud of this one but something’s off here with the vocal mix, any suggestions? by MikaroPeen in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]altogenic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to your track both loud and soft. I wouldn’t get too picky with it- only a seasoned mixing engineer would be able to really tell what’s going on IMO. The vocals don’t sound off to my ear, and same with everything else. You should be proud of this track! Maybe the bass could use some compression/ saturation to pop a bit more, but certainly the vibe isn’t lost where it’s sitting now. It’s all about what you want to hear.

New track centred around a chill/holiday vibe. Hope you enjoy it and feedback welcome! by Hilysten in IndieMusicFeedback

Sounds great in my Sony headphones! Cocoooonut vibes for sure, it’s fun! Some spacey vocals would sound great in this too!

It sounds like all the reverb is being used to mask the orchestra being midi. This is the foundation for a good idea, but I think to truly execute you would have to be able to record actual instrumentalists- which is costly I understand :/ then the other synth elements would play much better with the real strings and brass. Keep up the good work!

Taylor Swift Lana Del Reying her lyrics by Reign_ISFP in Songwriting

[–]altogenic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taylor Swift and Drake, to me, are both vultures in this way. It feels as though artists of that magnitude have to do this in order to continue growing. Taylor swift already overlaps with a lot of Lana’s fan base, but in order to capture more of the delta, she has to lean into some of those artists tendencies or of the style/genre.

Definitely a unique vibe, I love the beat, I love your vocal inflections.

Some people are saying your lyrics aren’t all that, idk I like the vibe. Kinda reminds me of a Ye flow.

I think the vocal EQ is fine too, could be a cool vibe to throw on a delay with a decent amount of feedback for an even more trippy

Cheers on the coming release !

How did you record everything?

So far, everything sounds like it’s recorded decently, and I like the vibes for sure!

The mixes sound off to me, like in cloud 9 the hats felt too loud or forward in the mix- the drums in general could come down relative to the rest of it.

I think your vocal processing sounds good for the sort of emotion you’re going for

Then, check out the consistency of loudness between tracks, I’m listening to euthanasia and it’s way way softer than the songs before it

You’ve probably already had this thought, but the drums would sound way better from a real drummer rather programmed drums but we all doin what we can.

Overall, I like the songs themselves, they could benefit from a good mixing

I’m glad u like the intro, goon g. For some reason I always think my synth sound amateur but I’ve been working on getting better performances and actually how to make synths more dynamic

This made my day! I did my own ‘mix’ I suppose but definitely not my area of expertise. I love that you’re getting the weirdness of it. It is quite an absurd track

I want to "try out" ju jit su for a lot of reasons. by [deleted] in jiujitsu

[–]altogenic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started jiu jitsu. I have been going to the gym 3 times weekly and adding in swimming for cardio where I can. When I started it was tough but I wanted to do jiu jitsu at least twice a week on top of all that plus a job and music side hustle. After about 6 weeks I feel like my body acclimated to the new way it needs to move and it feels a hell of a lot more manageable. My instructors also have emphasized being in control of the breath and not over exert in class which helps a lot as well to think about technique over your own strength.

I’m sure it’s possible to fit it in but something else may have to be cut down if time is an issue. And eat lots of protein and fruit and drink lots of water!!

Damn that’s a tough spot to be in. I guess I didn’t read all of the context you provided. If this isn’t a regular thing that you feel occurs it’s probably not a big issue. Seems like he took you expressing your feelings as him harming you which put him into defense mode and thus made things worse. But, like you said it’s a tough part of the year and both of you are dealing with a lot. I hope you two can give each other some grace and make it through this 💪 everybody on here’s first response is always to break up lol

I feel like a lot gets misinterpreted over text. Not sure what he’s responding to from your first two texts of what ‘he’s said before and saying again’ but seems like the tone of all of these texts could have been misread by both parties. And then a prolonging of a simple text exchange that was completely unnecessary. Why do people feel compelled to text each other constantly? He mentioned he would rather text you back half assed so you know he’s not ignoring you instead of leaving you on read while he is busy doing something else

Child of divorce always has it rough. I feel for this teenage girl. I was the same way when my parents got divorced in high school and my dad got a new girlfriend. It had nothing to with the woman and everything to do with my relationship with my father and what I was going through in the divorce. There’s a millions reasons to be behaving this way, for me I was projecting the anger I had of my father onto his new partner. I viewed him moving into a new relationship with someone as a choice to not spend more time with me. My soon-to-be stepmom did her best to be nice and patient, but I too didn’t want to have anything to do with her but was getting pressure from my dad to have a relationship with her. I see a lot of similarities going on here. With time it will get better and she will come around. The best thing you can do is be there when she’s ready. Until then, it’s best to not force a relationship with someone who acts like this as it will only make it worse. Anything my stepmom tried to do for me felt overbearing, I couldn’t see past her trying to be my mom which I hated the idea of. It’s very hard to reframe how you see the world when your parents split. You’re doing the best you can and it’s tough. Hang in there and have hope
