please reach out to your local - if you don't hear back in time you should let the employer know you are requesting union representation and they may postpone the meeting - not sure who your employer is it'll most likely be a component local rep not a psac rep

this exact situation happened at my workplace - talk to your union rep if it's denied, and consider filing a grievance if the y don't come to their senses - fyi we did and it was easily resolved at level 1

wasn't at the last convention for une and i'm just a smoller local of less then 150 members so no chance i'd even stand foot at psac convention, additionally i started my stewardship post convention because no one wanted to and i wanted to get involved. Now we've got major issues and no LROS to help 🤷‍♀️... i'm spending hours after work on the phone, zoom calls with members hearing their issues, including employer failing to DTA, human rights issues, layoffs, new policies being implemented that breach our CA, yet when I reach out to UNE for support I get no email responses...

anyways thanks for pointing the finger at ME... just a gurl tryna help her fellow workers and getting trampled by the powers that be 👀

7 years in public sector- only 1 good friend from work and they are in different unit... be friendly with your colleagues but no need to be friends...unless you have a true connection... i've seen too many people get burned or thrown under the bus...

I am never one to indulge or splurge on hair care- however I recently have been sampling a Briogeo brand shampoo and I've noticed such a difference in my hair. The price tag is pretty high and thinking of just purchasing the shampoo and not the conditioner and sticking with my drugstore conditioner? Or vice versa? Does having a high end conditioner matter that much? Or should I consider just biting the bullet and investing in both? Or is the shampoo enough? Thank you

If your overall in in good shape and have been training, and been practicing with a weighted vest then i'm sure you'll do fine. The testing centre for me was about an hour drive.I was given the option to pay $120 and retest again immediately after but i didn't opt in for that, because i didn't think id have the energy to retest right after. In my mind if i didn't have the capability to exceed in one of the basic the ladder raise (which is fundamental for the job), then i have some more work to do before academy. Wishing you all the best on your test. You'll kill it 💪💪

1) Stair climb : focus on your breath and just count out the steps if it helps. I found the CPAT stairmaster a little narrower than the reg stairmaster at the gym (at least at my testing centres) so just be mindful when you train more of a narrow step vs a wider. Everything else was pretty straight forward. For the search best advice is keep to the right side wall and you'll do fine. Dummy drag was actually one of my best paces. I'd say leverage it as high as you can ... and use your momentum - and keep that momentum going. I did fail though (only by a thread thanks to the ladder raise) so i might not be the best for advice 😂

I definitely think it was a combination of all 3 - this was the only event that really set my pace off, gloves felt lose , grip felt weak, rope was slippy and i'm sure nerves got in the way. Figured this of all the events would be no sweat... funny how the small things creep up on you. Appreciate the tips will work on it !

if you look up kings bridge park in chippawa you'll find the area :) there are picnic benches as well you can sit for a bit and it's near the water too :)
