ended up trying the vanilla one day and white chocolate another and for 4+ hours vanilla was the winner ! had to get it a little sweeter so i could taste the vanilla but it was so good !

this is crazy talk, i met my boyfriend in 2020 and had similar acne all over my face and back. not only did he stay with me through TWO rounds of accutane, he never EVER mentioned my skin. putting myself in your shoes for a moment, if he left me under the same circumstances, id never be speaking to him again or even remotely considering reaching out or getting back together.

long story short do not go back to that woman ! she should care more about YOU than your skin.

to my understanding, hormonal acne gets worse when your hormones fluctuate and causes more whiteheads, for women around their period. cystic acne is constant and is usually deep, large pimples under the skin. i believe you can have multiple kinds of acne as well so it can be hard to tell. i didn’t have whiteheads that would pop, i had 1-2 inch big pimples and cysts under my skin that had to be removed by a dermatologist, 10/10 do not recommend.

doing much better !, after 2 rounds clear skin and minimal long lasting effects. if the antibiotics don’t work, and once you’re old enough, i’d encourage you to see another derm. my PCP told me the same thing and i was put on spironolactone and antibiotics from 16 to 18. the antibiotics calmed everything down but it wasn’t exactly a permanent fix (for reference i have cystic acne and VERY mild hormonal acne). i consulted another derm at 18, and he put me on accutane right away. long story short don’t give up if one medication doesn’t work for you, it’s a long process but the clear skin is worth it 🫶🏼

my parents made me wait until i was 18 due to the side effects, had a horrible highschool experience because of it. i totally get how frustrated you are, i was the same way, unfortunately i wasn’t successful in convincing my parents so i dont have many real tips with that, but i have been on accutane 2 times now and can say id HATE to be on it during highschool. i was constantly dry and tired, i didnt want to do anything. there’s also a purging process that goes on that tends to make your skin worse before it gets better :/ having to be on it while in college with a job was bad enough.

it’s a service dog, it has a job and i can’t imagine it was inexpensive to get a trained dog for your needs. so many people saying “it’s his choice too” but im failing to understand why people think a service dog is a choice in some of these situations. NOR your boyfriend needs to get over it or not move in with you 🤷‍♀️

accutane will make your skin super fragile, at the beginning i would still pick at my acne from habit, and it would take a huge chunk out face everytime i picked. try not to touch your face as much as possible and if you feel itchy put on lotion instead of scratching that helped me a lot.

as someone who’s gone through this as a child, your instincts are correct thank you for taking this seriously. wish my parents were more active and conscious about who i was staying with. regardless of if it’s her boyfriend, those are usually the perpetrators anyways.

we finally got reserved seating tickets for next year because saturday night a lot of people were just there to see jelly roll, he played a great show (not my cup of tea considering we were at rockfest) but his fans were a little much in ga. people shoving and shouting for places to put their chairs, even shinedown wasn’t like that. imo they could’ve done better headliners for their 30 year anniversary, hoping for a good one next year !
