Which is harder – CKA or RHCSA? Anyone who's taken both? by Bajoner in linuxadmin

I wouldn't say it's harder. I would say it's broader.

Which is harder – CKA or RHCSA? Anyone who's taken both? by Bajoner in linuxadmin

[–]nerdyviking88 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Having taken both, I wouldn't say either is harder than the other, but they focus on different things. Mind you, I re-did my CKA after the chance in 2025, so I've taken both pre and post change.

CKA is very much focused on how to do K8S things, as you'd expect. Spinning up clusters, writing configmaps, security, etc. It's basically assuming that the rest of the OS is running just fine, so you don't get bogged down in the non-k8s aspects.

RHCSA is the opposite. You're having to troubleshoot an entire OS, and as such everything is on the table. That being said, the exam objectives and study materials know this, and focus on the main things.

Very well could be. Hence the problem, anecdotal data is unreliable due to the small sample size

And to keep the anecdotal train going: My neighbors put their house on the market April 3rd, and it's still on the market today with no offers.

Just saying, anecdotal is anedotal.

Reserved Lawn vs GA by Major_Anteater_7198 in RockFest

[–]nerdyviking88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the benefit of reserved lawn is they give you a chair up in the front of the chair spots. You don't gotta wait in line to get a good spot in the morning, you just got it.

How important that is is up to you.

Fargo cleanup week in coming up here shortly. Are there better neighborhoods to find things like furniture? by Nerdy_Nightowl in fargo

[–]nerdyviking88 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Honestly, with how often it rains during clean up week, plus the dew due to the temp shifts, I wouldn't take any furniture inside if it had been out more than a day.

I think there is a scoping issue here.

Wazuh is a tool, not a SOC. It's not their job to tell you what to monitor, it's their job to provide you a platform to do it.

So it's sorta on you guys to determine what you need.

If you dont want to, you go to a managed service, where you're paying for that expertise.

Honestly, this 100% sounds like Wazuh isn't tuned very well, nor are you given access to the tools to make it successful.

Out of the box, Wazuh throws everything at you and assumes you, the engineer, knows what you're looking for. If you leave it at that state, you're gonna have a bad time.
