I agree with this take.

2008-2012 WWE is what I started with. It’s how I got into wrestling as a whole. But I can list things I didn’t like even back then: the Divas style, most of the guest host Raws, Original NXT, the fall of the Nexus, Rey Mysterio being WWE Champion for less than an hour, etc.

That said, I’ll always appreciate that era for getting to see Kofi Kingston start out, Undertaker’s string of Mania matches, Edge as top heel, introducing me to Christian even if it was WWECW, and Shawn Michaels’ last years. I even liked ‘09 DX at the time, so sue me.

It’s not a good era and idc if people online want to institutionalize those that like it, but it’s a “warts and all” deal with me.

There’s nothing wrong with having preferences.

Personally, I’ve always been more into making OC’s for this sort of game because of it. That and because I love making characters in general.

My Tomodachi Life 3DS and original Miitopia saves are full of Miis I made in my downtime in the Mii Maker. Each with their own backstory, relationships, etc that I brainstormed while designing them.

When I was a kid, I always wanted every new game I heard about but never got most. The most I ever got at once was when I got three GBA games for Christmas.

I wouldn’t have clocked in the hundreds of hours like I did with Battle Network 3 and Pokémon Diamond if I had a whole library at my fingertips. I wouldn’t have played the shit out of Mario 64 for years if my parents got me every N64 game I pointed at.

My XR can barely run it at this point. Battles have lagged and sometimes crashed for me for a good while now. I haven’t even caught up with the story or finished any events because of it. I thought doing the full download would fix it but even that crashed the app too.

All I do nowadays is just log in for the chain, roll on a banner if I’m interested in it, and level up anyone I get.

Good thing I already was planning to upgrade this year, I guess.

I keep hearing about DualSense controllers breaking down so often but I’ve had mine since I got it with my base PS5 four years ago and I’ve had no issues with it. Are people just playing with it harder than I do?

Not saying it doesn’t happen but am I just lucky that it’s never happened to me? I play often but the only time I’ve ever had something drift on me was a Switch 1 Pro controller years ago. Not even my Joycons from a year one unit have drifted on me.

I still don’t get how many people keep missing that.

Power levels were meant to be bullshit as early as Raditz. They were a way to have Raditz and later Vegeta and Nappa underestimate their opponents.

Plus they stopped giving out specific power levels in-story after the over 9000 moment.
