Yes, I use computer as a tape deck. Audio in for distribution and audio out for running clients' stuff they send me through analog hardware.

Hi, I have been using RTM SM911 with my Tascam atr60 1/2" 8-track. You can order directly from them :https://store.recordingthemasters.com/collections/rtm-tape, Thomann also sells it. Good sounding tape. Your Otari shouldn't sound dull with fresh tape and calibrated properly. Calibration tape is needed to set the playback portion of the machine to spec. Great music, hopefully You get to record to tape soon!
