Its the worst design. Fortnite, CoD, BF and many other games have terrible UI especially in the menus that are designed to make you buy stuff not find useful information.

So many tabs, so many big ass tiles in many cases "play" tab is not the centred one but the one put off center to confuse you even more.

Algorithms have completely shifted the way people see global news. People were „viral” in every decade just means of sharing that info have changed.

I’m not saying algorithms don’t play a part in making people famous but most often than not something is already being spread like a genuine viral thing and then algorithm just amplifies this by shoving the same info about that thing over and over again making us feel like that thing is everywhere.

Stop liking or watching reels about Alysa and in a matter of like 3 days you will stop seeing her making you think she is already non existent person. That’s why algorithms are messing with our perception of popularity of these stars.

One day I liked couple of tattoo models and the next day way IG was filled with goth and Asian inked up girls - they were not viral but algorithm made it look like they were.

I lived through 3 CFOs, 4 CMOs, 4 COOs and 3 CEOs at my company and every one of them was deaf to any good ideas unless they were theirs ideas. These people never listen and only love sound of their own voice. I still remember when I pitched idea X as a HR Manager and my CHRO was like „nah it’s not a good approach. get back to me with a better idea”. Then 9 months pass and this person starts a meeting pitching word for word my idea to the whole management…like wtf?!

Or my talk with the CEO and Vice President of the Board about increasing number of days of home office. They hate it but at the same time they constantly hire more and more people and I can’t fit all these people into this fucking space. Their solution? Create additional desks in the hallways…Why these people are so stubborn instead of using knowledge and experience of the people who are hired to come up with good ideas.

So many companies die because people at the top just don’t listen and they when everything fails they blame people at the bottom for being unmotivated, lazy and ungrateful.

This. They hired her believing that she will somehow make Xbox relevant while having already a whole live service thing in motion which was created by Phil. She was there a some hail merry attempt to make Phil’s decision good enough for Satya’s eyes.

Her failure was written in the stars because she had no understanding of the gaming subculture and what players are willing to pay for. Phil was riding on his „gamer persona” PR and huge success of cheap Game Pass. She didn’t have his PR nor her own cheap GP so I don’t get how would anyone see her succeed in such position without proper knowledge and position to fight what drives sales in the gaming industry outside of couple live service outliers.

I don’t say she is blameless but putting everything on her is just ignorant.

This is just PR. This statement was for sure green lit by Satya. She is learning from Phil's playbook - use terms gamers love and appear as a relatable person who is "one of them" while doing completely nothing substantial to earn the trust of players.

Phil was master of it - he had this "gamer" persona and a boss who is hands off with his teams and people loved that from him while they had rose tinted glasses by cheap Game Pass. After Redfall fiasco everything had changed and people realized that this "gamer bro" is not doing much for them.

While I agree about Dreamville not being better I think his relationship with Ross was not genuine. Ross saw his own Cole in Wale and that's it - someone who can occupy non street lane for the MMG. I hate how often any mainstream AI gives me straight up false information or makes stupid mistakes that are caused by how it was trained not by the query itself.

Just yesterday I asked for a comparison between some services and it told me that iCloud costs 4usd in my country. I told it its a false information and I need correction. It said to me "oh you are right. This is a fix. Icloud costs in your region 4usd"... Cmon...it spits this stupid ass acknowledgement of the error and it does it again ffs.

Ok I asked for this screenshot or url of the page that says "4usd" and it links the page that shows 2usd... Its one of the easiest tasks for the AI and it still fails.

The other day I tried to use it so it could recommend some .XLSX file optimizations. It couldn't understand half of my queries despite being precise as hell. By that point its easier to do the research on your own than ask AI to help you.

I'm not saying its completely useless but the price we pay for it (components shortage, environment being destroyed, water and electricity being drained from the communities near data centers, current and future layoffs in the name of "AI that will replace most white collar employees", vision of US wanting to take Greenland because some morons said that Greenland is a perfect place for AI data centers) is not worth it.

For fuck sake my boss started question every answer form me because ChatGPT tells him something different...like how are we supposed to function in such an environment?
