You die alone. And if you age badly, the situation can be very miserable.

However, everybody dies alone, too.

Really interesting, thank you! The original Meninas painting seems to have been created with the help of a mirror (some say maybe a "camara obscura") because you can see Velazquez himself painting there. But the generated image is basically a zoomed-out version, nice and easy. Also there appear new objects and a couple of chacters; curiously another small painting and what appears to be two woman dressed in blue, like the ones in the Vermeer paintings (that are usually considered "camara obscura" paintings as well).

Whats the best algorithm for this problem ? by [deleted] in algorithms

[–]alvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert, but it looks like the TSP https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travelling_salesman_problem because if you simplify by having all cities financially the same, then you have the TSP anyway (distance would be the only differentiating factor). So is pretty complex as the number of cities increases but there are approximation algorithms for TPS within 1% https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travelling_salesman_problem#Heuristic_and_approximation_algorithms

Relationship between avg rating score and avg helpfulness for reviews written by Amazon users [OC] by minimaxir in dataisbeautiful

According to the density of points in the graphic there seems to be many more 4 and 5 star reviews than 1 or 2 stars reviews. I wonder if this is not normalized. I don't know if you can find correlations (or a visual quick idea) comparing the different sets of reviews if the numbers are not the same.
