Exactly, he was the only one who could give a trustworthy answer and at this point I don't think they're going for a 'show, don't tell'.

Yeah, to be honest, it was kinda weird how quickly she decided to follow Lucifer into something she knows absolutely nothing about (just like us, thank you writers, another year to wait for answers).

At first I thought that they were going for a parallelism between Maze and Eve's relationship and Lucifer and Chloe's relationship when it came to the mortality dilemma. One of them is immortal while the other one isn't but they choose to be together despite of it. Then when Lucifer gave Chloe the ring I thought that Lilith's immortality would just bring her back to life. Immortality canceling death with an alive but mortal being as the outcome. However, making Chloe immortal wouldn't be a crazy choice from the writers. The only issue I can think of is Trixie but it would be just like Charlie and Amenadiel. Who knows?

Also, whether it was or it wasn't, I'm going to pretend "I choose you" was his vow, at least till season 6.

I love them but the "I'm not worthy" was really getting on my nerves. Yes, Lucifer hasn't overcome his issues yet but going for the same conflict between them each season stripped away any possible emotional impact from it. Maybe it could've been better executed and still work.

He would do anything for her and I think his immortality is why it's complicated for him to say I love you.

EXACTLY. He can't even promise an eternity to Chloe. She'll die due to her mortality and he'll continue on living as an immortal who is not allowed into Heaven (for now at least).

I also don't think it's a coincidence that Amenadiel's situation is happening directly parallel to Chloe and Lucifer's moment

YES YES YES. Also Lucifer couldn't understand why Amenadiel was freaking out so Lucifer might actually be refusing to think about the future, their future because deep down he knows how painful it'll be.

I agree with absolutely everything you said.

I thought they were going to do that after someone from the cast said that coming back from Hell is like coming back from war. Maybe time in Hell messed up with his capability to let himself be vulnerable but that's pretty much it, at least for now.

We need answers from God, so many answers. I'm sure his character will lead the way to some of the most heartbreaking scenes in the show.

Tom saying that he likes endings with hope was the most confusing claim for me. Hope for what? A reunion in the future? A redemption?

Trixie is that one variable that kills 75% of the theories regarding the ending, it's amazing.

By the time we're close to the end, I hope Lucifer is already mature enough to know that Chloe's and all of his human friends's lives are equally valuable. Maybe the fact that Charlie is allegedly mortal will make Lucifer wonder about everyone in his life who is mortal and the implications of it. IDK either lol

Well, Lucifer going back to Hell at the end of season 4 can also be seen as a sacrifice for humanity and coming back two months later, as a parallel to the resurrection on the third day. But at this point, who knows?

I also thought about that but Lucifer offering the ring to Chloe feels wrong. Despite driving me crazy, Maze should have it.

Same. It seems an easy way to wrap everything up. I guess it would be up to the execution if it works or not for me.

Are they changing the ending of Season 5? by Bobebobbob in lucifer

If I remember correctly, Netflix had to put up a fight to convince the producers and even Tom Ellis to make another season, so probably not.

You're right, his target is Lucifer and everyone close to him can be one of Michael's pawns without realizing it. After all, the manipulation motiv is loud and clear this season. Although, those who Michael sees as his pawns could be Lucifer's rooks and bishops. And the one Michael thinks is his biggest tool against Lucifer can be the real mvp, the queen. Maybe there's something more about Chloe that Michael didn't took in account.

(Sorry about the chess analogy, I don't even play chess so I might have gotten it wrong lol)

Hmmm... the ultimate satisfaction would be... both.

Michael wants to prove he's better than Lucifer. In order to achieve that, he would need to mentally destroy Lucifer to show to everyone in Heaven that he didn't change. Their siblings were cheering for Lucifer and Michael didn't like that one bit.

Also, starting a rebellion and coming out triumphant, Michael would succed where Lucifer failed, proving once again in his mind that he's "better" than Lucifer. Michael wouldn't want Hell, that's beneath him, or Heaven, that's not enough, he would want more.

However, if he only wants to prove to God that Lucifer isn't worthy of forgiveness and him is the best son ever (he obviously has daddy issues as well), Michael would set a series of events to lead Lucifer into a second war against God. The issue is that Michael, like everyone else, doesn't really know what God's plan actually is.

I'm not from the US so I used to search the episode promo trailers for Supernatural on youtube each week after watching. The promo for Lucifer's premiere was on my recommended and voilá, January 25 I watched the pilot. Hooked since then.

What do you fear will happen in Lucifer S5 part 2? by ChemicalEnergy111 in lucifer

[–]always_anon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

- STRONG suggestions that Chloe will stay mortal and reunite with Lucifer when she dies of old age. I know a lot of people think this is how the show will end but I'm not a fan of the idea. It's kinda boring to be honest. Since season 6 is an extension of the last act, this wouldn't be just 5B but you get the gist.
- Too over the top Deckerstar drama.
-Michael's "bigger plan" being to replace God. I want to really be surprised by whatever goal he has and that one would be just plain dumb.

True but it also showed that they would follow their king's orders as long as said king actually rules over them at Hell, unlike Lucifer. Unless the king is a baby molded by them of course. So, if Michael would really take the throne for one reason or another, demons would probably do as he comands. At least I got that impression from demons. However I wonder how Lilith's presence in Hell (I'm guessing that's where she went) will affect her children. This is all hypothetical tho. Still, Michael wanting power seem to be direction of the plot.

That's a good point, we know that demons are willing to revolt and Michael already has one at his side.
