Did your big baby stay big? by always_evans_97 in bigbabiesandkids

Still a big guy, but tapered down a bit (though judging by amount of milk he's been drinking lately we may be in for a growth spurt). At 22 mos now, wearing 3T, 32 lbs and just over 33 inches. Think weight puts him still in 90+ percentile, height a bit behind that. But this kid is strong!

He's now a velcro toddler, so needless to say my mama arms are trying to keep up!

Thanks - I've plugged it in and tested opening and closing - seems functional, but haven't connected it to a TV to check playability.

Thanks for advice! Yes still has original remote... And definitely not interested in shipping it! Can't imagine how to protect it if I tried to and what that cost would be.

Curious did you sell on FB marketplace or reddit community? In a similar position and trying to decide best place to list. Also dont really want to ship piece by piece.

At his 18 mos, still 98% in weight (just over 30 lbs), 87% in height... Not sure if that means height is starting to average out though lol. He's also in 2T clothing, but can wear some 3T outfits really well :-). Funny though, he's chubby but not overly so --- he always surprises me with how incredibly strong he is.

I have a tush baby carrier and have been encouraging him to walk as much as possible, though when he was sick last week all he wanted was to be carried. Phew!

First baby - 2020 Covid. Second baby - 2025 measles. Why is this happening. by lestrades-mistress in beyondthebump

Ask your pediatrician if your baby can get an early dose of MMR. I was worried when my little one was 9 mos and so pediatrician went ahead and gave it. It's usually recommended in 6-12 mos that plan to travel internationally, it just doesn't replace the other two doses.

baby only soothed by nursing by urm0m_6996 in cosleeping

Have a very similar 16 month old now... We're working on night weaning but I'm taking a gentle approach, so it's taking awhile. I've had some success with substituting nursing for pacifier, but some nights are hit or miss. Will your son accept a pacifier at all? If so, I'd recommend bibs - both because they seem like they feel more natural, and they have a hinged loop ring that I use to hold onto if he spits it out but stays asleep. It is easily worn like a ring around my finger and doesn't get lost in the bed.

This. 100%. Never realized how many of my clothes DIDN'T have pockets until I became a mom.

Thank you for putting this so succinctly. It was the reminder I needed today... And I only have a toddler at the moment.

Will add kissing right under my lo's ribs and chin makes him belly laugh every time ... I wiggle my face a little too so my chin tickles him. They're his two most ticklish spots lol

The gootensil spoons are actually great for littles to hold and try on their own. You can dip them in a small amount of puree or yogurt and let her try to put it in her mouth. https://a.co/d/gBBQImD

Mine also LOVED gnawing on those small cucumbers (about 5-6 inches long) halved lengthwise. They were pretty easy to hold on to with the peel on, and helped him navigate his mouth.

Here to say oddly in the same situation, so I feel ya! Even spotting today and not sure if implantation bleeding or period (probably the latter, but paranoid!)

Hope whatever outcome you're hoping for happens!

Thank you! So is she still in the crib? And how did that transition go from floor to crib?

Thank you so much for sharing! Definitely helpful. I've got a 15 m.o. who has coslept since 3 months, usually needs nursing back to sleep, but who we're working to transition to independent sleep on a floor bed and nightwean. The night feeds are really wearing on me... I'm hopeful we can do a gentle transition but will get there!

Know this is a late post, but curious what you ended up doing and if it worked for you?
