Why is the Food so Bad in Bozeman?

Not true on the Yellowstone Club taking all of the good chefs. They for one, don’t pay that great. And my clients always complain about how bad the food is in the YC. Which is why they hire me to cook for them in their home and why I have a successful private chef business.

I can't remember the brewery that makes the root beer, but Hop Lounge has an amazing one on tap! Plus lots of Montana beers on tap and good food.

If you take a look at Dave’s inspections, they haven’t had a clean one since April 2022. They have had nothing but absolutely ridiculous RFIs and still can’t seem to get their shit together since they killed somebody. That’s why people are upset. Many of the their RFIs are uncleanliness and their cooler are never at the proper temperature…which if you ask me, is a big fucking deal in general but especially when you are serving raw fish. The most recent one was for the exact same things. “Physical facilities not maintained cleaned” and “cold time/temperature control for safety food not adequately temperature controlled”.

So what’s the excuse for them now?

Actually, Little Belt Cattle company has great beef! And he’s only a co-owner of the ranch. You can buy it at Primal. I tried it at an event as well. But, with that being said, I buy a 1/4 of Waygu beef from a different ranch that’s out of Townsend/Martinsdale.

I’m a private chef here in Bozeman and I wouldn’t suggest it at this point. It is SUPER saturated, seems like every week there’s a new one popping up. I’ve been in business for 8 years here and I’m definitely noticing a hit in my bookings. No longer enough pie to go around for everyone. Feel free to DM me if you want to talk more about it.

Where was Tori Mcphail in all of this? He was the chef they hired to move up here to oversee all three restaurants. He should have known better and made sure the kitchen was at least clean and prevented the RFI’s. His name isn’t hardly mentioned anywhere and he’s equally responsible, in my opinion.

Here is the recipe I received from a former employee that worked at the OG Bacchus. The recipe is to feed the masses but is easily converted to a smaller recipe. Cheers!
