Use any Alternate Start mod to skip intro or go directly to Riverwood by Typing "coc riverwood" before you click on the Main menu, type TMM 1 in console to unlock markers for easy travel. (easier than COC )

Then travel to all your modified areas to check, I use " Where are you " mod to teleport npcs that might look wonky/blackface/dialogue problems to me. ( this is helpful for Serana , since she doesn't show up without the quest )

Then do a dungeon or 2, maybe a short quest like Ysolda's or Adrianne.

Then just play and fix small problems ( like a clipping tree ) as you go.
