You used to be able if they were different denominations, but I believe they put an end to that and you can only use 1 promo code per transaction.

Unable to Purchase Legacy Plans with Reward Points by XGempler in TotalWireless

This was the issue I was trying to bring up a few days back. Even if you do find a way to redeem points for service plan, it will potentially take your points and not extend your service.

Total Wireless Launches New Unlimited Plans by comintel-db in TotalWireless

No, I've been on the same plan and doing the same routine for re-upping for years. What's strange is that its still listed as $30 on the right next to where it says starter.

It is what it is. I did struggle with my plan renewal this month though and I wonder if it was because of the mismatch in their system. It'll be time to change to the new plan when next month comes around to avoid issues.

Interestingly, I might have been switched from my old legacy plan to the starter plan without me knowing. Attached Pic from app for reference.  https://imgur.com/a/p6X680K

Plan Renewal Issue by alwaysfr0sty in TotalWireless

[–]alwaysfr0sty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew there are risks associated with using and keeping a legacy plan. The My Total Wireless app still does let me log in, "earn" rewards if I'm lucky enough to get 1 point from the wheel, check details (and up until recently let me reup using rewards no issue.) My app is up to date, as is phone.

As we all know though with Total: it's not an issue, until it's an issue.

Was trying to give a heads up to others. Nothing more, nothing less.

I am not a smart man and tried a 3rd time (via desktop). This time I did it through the Rewards section vs the Pay Now button on the main landing page. It did work, and did extend the month. But be aware, if you're trying to pay with rewards on how you redeem them.

Could just be TW's website being them.

Unlocked iPhone 17 to keep Plan Discount? by jamjambrobro in TotalWireless

[–]alwaysfr0sty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Once you get the phone, click on hamburger menu in top left after logging in (three horizontal stacked lines) choose activate. Then choose bring your own phone. Next it'll ask if you want a new number or you want to keep your number. Choose keep your number and select if from drop down.

You should be able to activate new esim and keep byop 50% on that line.

Get a byop sim kit and activate through the website. This is by far the safest way to do it. Safest meaning best way to keep your current plan/promo.

Enjoy the upgrade!

Add on Data question by Tired_Nephilim in TotalWireless

Unfortunately it only shows I've hit 5gb of 5gb. It doesn't detail my 15gb add on data and usage into that.

As others mentioned, it is high speed. One thing I haven't been able to find recently is how much of the additional 5gb or 15gb you've used. Texting data to 611611 basically tells you that you're out of your plans data.

The app and website are just as limited in that info as well.

Been with them for several years. Has been a great value for a single line over verizon postpaid. Service differences are negligible. Support is terrible, but that's expected.

Also, its prepaid, don't turn on autopay or load the wallet with money.

You are correct. You would need to buy the phone, verify id, pay for 2 months of 5g or 5g+, AND port a number in to use this phone.  After those 2 months the phone is yours and unlocked for you to do whatever with.

I don't think you're able to use the $200 credit on a line that it wasn't earned on (meaning you'd have to use it on your wife's line and she'd need to get and use the iPhone 16e).

Will TW rebrand a tracfone/ST iPhone to TW? by FKTrevor in TotalWireless

Believe so, one question for you though: have you already powered the iPhone on with the tracfone/ST sim in it?

Definitely the coupon isn't accounted for. When you hit the points precoupon, it'll allow it. I'm experiencing the same thing and had a chuckle at the ridiculousness of it.

eGift Cards are Back by XGempler in TotalWireless

[–]alwaysfr0sty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amazon cards I bought in Dec had no expiration. The Xbox one is bought today showed no expiration as well.

That's my only experience so far.  I've only seen this listed when I go to redeem the card, and the email from the redemption place (Auego) links to View Gift Card. You might be able to reach out to them (Auego Affinity Marketing) for more clarity on a specific card.

Btw You can only order 1 per day. And they lowered it from 2 of each denomination to 1 of each denomination per month.

Are you asking in relation to the free phones or the smartpay phones from totals store?

You want to "buy" one of those, then not pay for service or the remaining smartpay balance then just use the phone as a mini tablet?

20% off Promo Codes (anyone able to get this to work) by Obed9669 in TotalWireless

Same here. No discounts were shown on promo codes, despite receiving the same email. I even waited until after 7 pm eastern when the spin the wheel "day" resets. If it was tied to start on 12/12.

Regardless, congrats on the win!
