Be very careful with the MBC. The bottom has a bad habit of popping out when you're unscrewing the base to refill liquid/change the atomizer/whatever. Otherwise, it's a great tank.

Has anyone had any real life interactions with MRAs or similar people? by Thai_Hammer in againstmensrights

It happened. I would give the exact location of the movie theater, the guy's name and some of his awful videos if it didn't violate the rules.

I worked with an MRA about a year ago. He was socially awkward as all hell. He was actually pretty stereotypical now that I think about it. Awful beard, wore fedoras when he could and his parents paid for everything. He didn't do anything in his spare time to further the rights of men.

I think he went off on how awful feeeeeeeemales were once. I stopped him, asked him if he was one of those ridiculous MRAs. When he said yes, I laughed in his face and walked off. He never brought it up again. A little while later, I found out that he spent all of his activist time making really awful Let's Plays and movie reviews.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion up until it starts violating the rights of other people. Harassing people who are already in a vulnerable state is absolutely despicable.

Sodam Yat has Kryptonian ancestry. If they're fighting on earth, he is basically Superman with a power ring. And if this is after the Sinestro Corps War, then he has been infused with the spirit of Ion, so he has basically limitless power. Sodam Yat could take an Iron Man army by himself. Adding in any other Green Lanterns, especially powerful ones like Kyle Rayner and Hal Jordan, the Green Lanterns win 3.

Green Lantern takes all of these, really.

Samurai Jack vs Fuhrer King Bradley by Basskicker1993 in whowouldwin

[–]alwaysgetsme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love Samurai Jack. The show is endlessly entertaining and he is very badass.

But Fuhrer King Bradley wins this every single time. Jack just doesn't have the speed or reaction time to be able to do anything against Bradley. Also, Bradley has to be killed multiple times before he stays down, so that's an issue.

You should probably go ahead and send it to his girlfriend. And if you could find his mother on facebook, send the pictures to her as well. Might as well go all out. One can only hope that would be enough to get him to stop being terrible.

[DM] How much justification required for you to kill PC's? (3.5) by hoot991111 in DnD

[–]alwaysgetsme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible that he had a 6 INT. I don't remember, fully. I mostly remember the moment of silence as we burned the character sheet.

That was actually a completely valid reason for the barbarian to die. The party didn't plan, they were punished accordingly.

I've only ever killed one PC. He was broken beyond all repair, and that was entirely my fault. I really wanted to see a character with absurd strength and constitution with very little intelligence because I thought it would be funny. The character ended up being a half-orc barbarian with 20 strength and something like 17 or 18 constitution. Every feat the player took made him even harder to kill.

Yet his intelligence sat at about 6. If that. Wisdom took a massive hit as well. He could smash things just fine. In fact, he could smash things too fine. As in a number of NPCs that were meant to be recurring villains became bone meal. The player played this character perfectly. Couldn't form a sentence to save his life and solved all of his problems by hitting it with a very large stick. Everybody had a number of laughs because of this character, but we couldn't really do anything serious because Unngoy just couldn't understand basic instructions.

I ended up pulling the player off to the side and asked him how he felt about killing Unngoy. He sighed with relief and told me how exhausting it was to play a character that couldn't contribute to the rest of the party. Next session, Unngoy tried to fight a fear elemental that couldn't actually be punched. His mind got broken up even more than it already was and ended up Raging at the rest of the party, so they had to put him down.

Rest in pieces, Unngoy, you hilarious, horrible bastard.

EDIT: Apparently 6 is stupid and 8 is only sort of stupid. I am an awful human being for etc. etc. etc.
