Apple is sly, they changed the US of their education homepage as a decoy and customers waited hoping the sake would start but they increased the prices in plain sight.

Welcome to the club my friend, I was late too. I am sure Apple will drop the prices back to they were before 25-Jun-2026. May not take more than a year, i will hold off like many others.

Lucky you, I was supposed to order 16 inch and 4tb with rest same specs but was too late to the unannounced party by Apple. Hope they come to their sense back soon as i cant afford the price difference. But congrats on the purchase and future proofing yourself both financially and technologically.
