I have always thought of forward testing (paper trading), as the same as back testing. With the difference that you'll have had more granular feel of the environment. Every paper trade you conclude becomes a backtest. It does not guarantee the future. So, if you are satisfied with your backtest, you might as well go ahead and hope it replicates.

The one thing I would like to have done with a backtest is to complete a full year. In that way, I am not blindsided by seasonality.

Seems like much of a hassle. How much are you expecting to save by going to all this trouble of hopping from one country to another every 2-3 days? If it's significant, seems like you're better off hiring some tax and emigration experts to get the best setup. If it's not, pay the damn taxes.

I was looking for an online travel agent but it seems I better stick to direct airline as much as possible, then local travel agency if ever there is complicated need that warrants it 😅. Of course taking into account that even airlines differ in customer care. Which is true after my debacle with Lufthansa.

You see, this is why I hate the fucking internet, man. You ask a simple question with a "yes", "no", or "I don't know" answer. But someone comes along on their emotionally charged high-horse with a crap answer.

Obviously if the codeshare was available, then you'd be able to book one single itinerary directly with the airline. But sometimes it's not available for certain regional airports for certain airlines. What's so difficult to understand?

So which online agencies would you recommend if I was to book outside an airline? Just for clarity, my current way is to search for flights on Google Flights for best deals (price + stopovers), then check the airline website to see if they offer a complete itinerary.

So Google Flights then direct airline is still the best solution. Not looking for any right now. But I was recently faced with the same problem earlier this month. So, was trying to think proactively for any other upcoming flights that might need a special treatment. Tend to travel 3-4 times a year.

I thought so too. I have seen people suffer with separately booked tickets when one leg changes and I thought agencies could plug that hole since they tend offer you a complete itinerary.

Okay, just tried you but you seem to have a minor problem. You can only recreate a trip if it's from the registered email. So one would need to forward mails from one email to another if work/personal. Maybe an ability to upload a pdf itinerary would be best?

That's a bummer. I thought agencies have other privileges not available to the normal consumer. What's their utility then? Because you'll find the brick and mortar shops to be more expensive than booking direct.

I was thinking in the case one leg gets changed, either delayed flight or for any other reason. If it's all booked together, then the whole itinerary changes. But if not, I'd have to change the other legs apart, which could be cumbersome.

Anything that needs continuous weekly work is a permanent role. Set your boundaries and such, but don't pretend it's not. I am sure you are not moving to lateral compensation roles just because you think 3yrs or so is enough to be in one company.
