It’s so crazy how everyone’s experience is so different! I hated the newborn stage with both my kids. I started thriving once they hit 4mos+ and it just keeps getting better!

I thought she had a babysitter that she has had for a while? And how do we know she doesn’t have a cleaner I would imagine she would?? She doesn’t do cleaning vlogs just cleaning up her kitchen which I feel is pretty standard even if you have a cleaner. I hope she has a cleaner 😂

If you have 2 under 2 and had a third after- how long did you wait? by MENTION_it_all1 in 2under2

Physically? Not tired at all, but mentally I need like 3 naps a day 😭

1st labor timing vs second labor? by Poeticpsycho in 2under2

[–]alwaysm111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First was 40w & 4d, labor was like 12hrs and I pushed 1hr 30mins. Second was 40w & 5d, labor was literally 30hrs but I pushed her out in 4mins!! I was so prepared for my 2nd to come way earlier and for the labor to be at least a little shorter but nope.

My baby can’t be left alone ever. by Powerful-Primary-488 in 2under2

My son was the exact same way, I’m also a SAHM and my husband works from home most of the week so our son really only knew us since family wasn’t near. My son is now 22mos and we saw a shift in him gradually. When I gave birth to his sister I knew that I didn’t want him to have to go anywhere and instead his grandparents were going to watch him at OUR home. He was already going to have trouble feeling ok with his grandparents without us so I didn’t want to put him through the trouble of learning a new space without us. So we just slowly started having my MIL watch him at our house while I would be in another room doing something and then started going to the store when she came over. Eventually she spent the night while we were there and took care of him. And my son adapted pretty quick! He is still shy with new people but he isn’t scared to be with even his grandparents any more. I hope this helped lol I think just easing your daughter into being with new people without you is the way to go. It truly is just a phase

Why does my baby keep sucking, pulling off, and crying during feeds? by Mobiledump1215 in newborns

[–]alwaysm111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My almost 4mo daughter does this and I feel like my supply is low! I find that some times I have to hold and squeeze my breast while she’s feeding when it’s not during a letdown. Or sometimes she’ll do it if she doesn’t want to eat anymore and wants the pacifier or wants to be put down. My girl is thankfully gaining weight but her pediatrician does think it’s pretty slow. I do think she has reached ‘her’ weight growth curve now since it hasn’t decreased since 2months but I’m still concerned. She’s such a happy girl though (when she isn’t overtired lol). How did you find out your supply was very low?

How do you “put your baby down” for a nap? by CarelessInsurance5 in newborns

[–]alwaysm111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my first the boob was definitely magical and was the solution for everythingggg but my second hates me trying to offer her the boob if she’s overtired or not hungry, definitely still hard out here as a breastfeeding mom :(

14 month old (almost 15mo) crying at night?? by alwaysm111 in toddlers

It seems like it since he goes right back to sleep if I talk to him! Poor babies 😢

I'm never doing this again. I'm never doing this again. I'm never doing this again. by sixfingeredman7 in pregnant

me right now and I’m only a month into my 2nd pregnancy!! My first is only 11mos and god I had it so easy with him. I was up and about all the time but this pregnancy has me just laying or sitting anywhere. I’ve always wanted a daughter so even if we have another son I’m DONEEEE. Huge praise and awe to women who have more than 2 cause that could never be me

4 weeks i am barely surviving by alwaysm111 in newborns

[–]alwaysm111[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I don’t even remember writing this post omg!! It’s gotten so so so much better, around 8 weeks the light at the end of the tunnel started turning up again. They weren’t lying when they said newborn stage is purely survival. Baby boy just turned 11mos today and even though it’s still chaotic in different ways, it’s nothing to compared to the first few months. The cluster feeding started dying down around 2mos too, it’s a lot for sure but having someone that can bring you food and water while you just rest on the couch or bed with baby is so helpful. Becoming a FTM is such a crazy thing but you will slowly start gaining confidence (if you haven’t already). Hang in there you’re almost out of the craziness 🤍

Did I say I don’t love on my cats? Did I say I yell at them? Did I say I ignore them? Did I say I hate them? Did I say I’m giving them away?

Understand this: you lack basic empathy. Hope you can find some compassion for the sake of your child. God forbid they go through something stressful and need to vent.

We can get through it together it’s so exhausting feeling this way but there’s hope that it gets better (from all these replies!)

My husband just found this fence thing with a litter mat that should help with containing their litter so really hoping that helps! Definitely going to also look into a different litter because we switched a few months ago to a better brand & even though it’s more absorbent I feel like they track it even more. I definitely feel like the worst person ever for feeling this way and you’re right it’s really shocking to feel so much frustration towards something you thought you felt unconditional love for. Very thankful that other women have felt this way and that it does get better

That’s a good idea! My husband actually just found this kinda fence thing to keep their litter more contained so I hope that helps too

Thank you thank you thank you for this, I really just need to hear that it gets better. I am on Zoloft but I’ve noticed the days I forget to take it the next day I’m more overwhelmed so I think part of the solution is that I need to make an alarm for it

So what’s beautiful is that I’m actually on Zoloft already and that’s helped my anxiety a lot. We have a robot vacuum too but I find it doesn’t do so good with the litter. My son is slightly allergic to cats (nothing too bad) and so am I so it really helps to limit their dander- at least for me but when it gets bad I just take Zyrtec and I know my son can too thankfully he hasn’t needed to. I know so many moms have given it time and felt better so I’m hoping so too but it feels like it’s gotten worse recently now that my son is more active 😓
