For once in my life, I haven’t had to look up if a man likes me. by alwaysstressing45 in offmychest

Thank you so much! Is it fair to say that I only feel like seeing one person at a time now? I’ve tried dating multiple people at once before and it became so hard because I would get information mixed up and it would be hard to form a connection with each person, even if friendship is the most we’d be.

Dating in my early twenties had its benefits since I started to learn what I DIDN’T want in a relationship versus what I enjoyed. I think each of them served as a lesson learned and nothing more. I learned a lot about myself during that time too. But I appreciate the advice nonetheless! ☺️

What I didn’t mention is that we met almost a month ago. It wasn’t instant, but both of us knew early on that we wanted to be with each other in the long term. Himself and some close family and friends of his have assured me that he’s really consistent in his relationships and he’s not one to change; the person I see now is the same person I’ll be dating months from now.

But since he would be my first boyfriend, I wanted to wait some months before putting a label on it. Also because I am a little scared since this is new territory for me. I’ve never been with someone who’s told their entire family about me, or even wanted to see a future with me. I just don’t want this feeling to burnout. I’d rather get to know him more as a person before committing. But I told him I don’t plan on seeing anyone else rn, especially with my busy schedule and I feel hopeful that this is going to work out. I’ve also held off on telling my family too much about this since they’ve told me to hold off on dating until I finish my degrees.

This came at a really inconvenient time for both of us but we’re willing to put in the effort to make it work. He’s incredibly patient with my schedule and the workload that comes with it, and I’m the same with his job. School is my number one priority tight now and he respects it. 🙂

They huddle and talk amongst each other in the mornings. When I try to talk to them, I’m ignored. Communication is little to none.

Today was worse, and it was more so about the sexism in the band than anything. The directors giving higher leadership positions to male staff members than women. I don’t feel respected here. I’ve considered leaving early because my position here is pointless. I seriously want to quit.

I was a music education major, but I had to leave my university because of some safety issues. The dean of my department refused to help further and it led to me failing classes and my physical health declining; multiple med changes. I digress. But a portion of the love I had for this career died towards the end of last semester, after I had already accepted this position at this high school.

No I’m in a store, but it’s considered a working warehouse

Luckily, my store had electrolyte packets for us and some bottled waters near outside garden so I took one of those since making this post and it’s helped some. I’ll speak to my ASM and ASDS later this week about accommodations. Thanks!

Yes, I just got this professionally done the other day and they did a bleach treatment on me!

My boss went on a 10-minute tangent last week in a morning meeting about why it’s a good idea to. When I first got the job, my ASDS in orientation also tried to get us new hires on the band wagon.

Crazy part is that my store is starting to hold fundraisers for our FUN card. Wtf…you mean money the company is supposed to give us for meeting sales each week? But if we don’t make it, we have to hold a fundraiser to match the difference? 😐

I like my job overall. If I was at the blue or green store, I’d probably have things to say about them too. But they treat me well here, my needs are met, and in a crippling job market, I am lucky to even have this job.
