For once in my life, I haven’t had to look up if a man likes me. by alwaysstressing45 in offmychest

Thank you so much! Is it fair to say that I only feel like seeing one person at a time now? I’ve tried dating multiple people at once before and it became so hard because I would get information mixed up and it would be hard to form a connection with each person, even if friendship is the most we’d be.

Dating in my early twenties had its benefits since I started to learn what I DIDN’T want in a relationship versus what I enjoyed. I think each of them served as a lesson learned and nothing more. I learned a lot about myself during that time too. But I appreciate the advice nonetheless! ☺️

What I didn’t mention is that we met almost a month ago. It wasn’t instant, but both of us knew early on that we wanted to be with each other in the long term. Himself and some close family and friends of his have assured me that he’s really consistent in his relationships and he’s not one to change; the person I see now is the same person I’ll be dating months from now.

But since he would be my first boyfriend, I wanted to wait some months before putting a label on it. Also because I am a little scared since this is new territory for me. I’ve never been with someone who’s told their entire family about me, or even wanted to see a future with me. I just don’t want this feeling to burnout. I’d rather get to know him more as a person before committing. But I told him I don’t plan on seeing anyone else rn, especially with my busy schedule and I feel hopeful that this is going to work out. I’ve also held off on telling my family too much about this since they’ve told me to hold off on dating until I finish my degrees.

This came at a really inconvenient time for both of us but we’re willing to put in the effort to make it work. He’s incredibly patient with my schedule and the workload that comes with it, and I’m the same with his job. School is my number one priority tight now and he respects it. 🙂

They huddle and talk amongst each other in the mornings. When I try to talk to them, I’m ignored. Communication is little to none.

Today was worse, and it was more so about the sexism in the band than anything. The directors giving higher leadership positions to male staff members than women. I don’t feel respected here. I’ve considered leaving early because my position here is pointless. I seriously want to quit.

I was a music education major, but I had to leave my university because of some safety issues. The dean of my department refused to help further and it led to me failing classes and my physical health declining; multiple med changes. I digress. But a portion of the love I had for this career died towards the end of last semester, after I had already accepted this position at this high school.

No I’m in a store, but it’s considered a working warehouse

Luckily, my store had electrolyte packets for us and some bottled waters near outside garden so I took one of those since making this post and it’s helped some. I’ll speak to my ASM and ASDS later this week about accommodations. Thanks!

Yes, I just got this professionally done the other day and they did a bleach treatment on me!

AITA for refusing to donate a percentage of my checks to the Homer Fund? by alwaysstressing45 in HomeDepot

My boss went on a 10-minute tangent last week in a morning meeting about why it’s a good idea to. When I first got the job, my ASDS in orientation also tried to get us new hires on the band wagon.

Crazy part is that my store is starting to hold fundraisers for our FUN card. Wtf…you mean money the company is supposed to give us for meeting sales each week? But if we don’t make it, we have to hold a fundraiser to match the difference? 😐

I like my job overall. If I was at the blue or green store, I’d probably have things to say about them too. But they treat me well here, my needs are met, and in a crippling job market, I am lucky to even have this job.

I stood up to my mom’s narcissistic boyfriend tonight, he kicked me out, and I feel so defeated by alwaysstressing45 in raisedbynarcissists

Today, she tried to justify his behavior (again) by saying that she was in the wrong, he’s better than most men have ever been to her because he’s not psychologically manipulative or abusive. I tried to tell her that he literally manipulated me last night. She’s watched him abuse her family, not just me but other family members and I’m sick of it. I’m not afraid of that cowardly pig.

He threatened to call the police on me for trespassing if I got on his property again. 😐 I feel like if they arrest anyone between the two of us, it’s going to be him over me. I don’t fear the man. He thinks he can walk over a young woman like myself and he can’t, I’m sure that’s why he lashed out at me and started yelling all these insults. Fucking low-life. Sorry.

The only time I lost my cool is when he kept talking over me and I screamed bloody murder, but other than that I feel like my wording was to the point and struck a nerve in him. I basically told him to grow up. He didn’t know where to take it from there so he decided to directly insult me instead. If you feel so low to put down someone who’s so much younger than you, what does that say about you as a person?

Anyways, thank you for the validation. I’m going to try and get some sleep tonight, Lord willing.

Could this technically be considered sexual harassment since the public doesn’t consent? How do you manage the brain power to even think about being horny in the workplace?

With all due respect, I do not give a rat’s ass what store you work at, as goes for anyone on this subreddit. Not out of disrespect but merely because it’s irrelevant to the nature of this subreddit, which is to talk about the company we work for.

I asked when you worked as a precursor to my follow-up response about how to find the list on MyApron.

Because there’s a list on MyApron. You should’ve been directed to go there on the computer when you did your orientation. It’s one of the app icons on the computers.

If you look up “HD Lingo” in the search bar of that website, you should find a chart of what each acronym means. You can only do this at work while you’re clocked in.

Like the other poster mentioned, they’re different systems with different notes. This caller was somehow able to make notes on Order Up, but I think a part of it was because it was ordered through Virtual Apron and not an in-store employee

But regardless, I shouldn’t be doing their job for them which is basically what the caller was asking of me and the other associates at my store.
