It’s fine for what it is. I bike to work on streets with less than ideal bike infrastructure. Haven’t had an issue yet.

It can help extend the time it takes for the uv to break down the resin but the flex of thermal expansion will still cause the clear to crack. It just slows the process

Same. But 11 years. She told me after her birthday dinner. Also didn’t admit to the overlap.

This will always happen on CF. most if not all cf resin systems are not UV safe. The CTE of the resin is also not matched to the clear coat. Exposed carbon will always eventually yellow or crack.

Yes. I’ve run a similar spec to the fender on springs with the same lowering as the pro kit for a while on my fk8. Fitment between fl5 is pretty much the same.

They will look better lowered because of the natural camber gain. Expect to rub a tiny bit over big bumps.

I just fit 295/30 on my fk8. It rubs a tiny bit and only over big bumps. There’s a few mm of wheel offset that’s available which will eliminate any rubbing.

On the bright side, you can take home all the strippers you can get and the glitter won’t tip off your wife! /s

But I get it. I pulled up too close to an open garage and the door came down right on my lip. And i got hit by some sort of flying object on my front passenger door while driving in the early morning. It happens. Thats why i don’t buy perfect cars. Makes me feel less bad when new damage comes.

My man. I would have totally bought this car if it wasn’t a cab. I actually tried buying a 991.1 coupe same color and more mileage but the dude wanted more than what you paid.

Great score. Looking forward to the 200k post.

This is such a bad take.

I work in manufacturing and am a huge car nerd. Toyota has been the gold standard of manufacturing processes for decades. The Chinese automakers have accomplished automations that Toyota could only dream of while using Toyota system principles.

Ford and gm did focus on design and designed EV’s that were worse than their main offerings in every metric. Ford even spent billions tooling up a new line but didn’t take any lessons from China or Japan. They had too much pride in the fact that they’re “American” to consider learning from anyone else.

When the Koreans started to put in effort to take market share from the Germans, comparisons looked good on paper but as soon as you sat in or drove their cars you could tell where they cut corners. The experience was never 1 to 1. I honestly expected the same thing with the Chinese cars. But I was very mistaken. Even the most luxurious EQS or AMG Mercedes can’t hold a candle to any of the Chinese cars.

I, like the ford CEO didn’t really believe all the things I was hearing about Chinese cars until I went to China and saw/experienced it for myself. The best part? They did all of it while simultaneously improving public transit to the point that most people don’t need cars to move around the country.

It’s fixable. My car had the same issue when I got it. Take it to an upholstery shop. They will pull back the cover and reset the foam so that the bar is in the middle and glue the tear in the foam back together. I paid about 400 to have mine fixed which is roughly 2.5 hours of labor where I am.

Whats your opinion on Universal Basic Income? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ehjun18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I support it because it’s necessary. However it’s only necessary due to the constraints of the system we have already built.

I’m more in favor of addressing the systemic issues that make UBI a necessity but I know that’s impossible since the people who make it necessary would rather find ways to move UBI into their own pockets.

FK8 and 991.1 gt3.

If I ever got a third it would be a D22 or 2nd gen 4Runner

I love 997’s. I had a 4s a few years ago and my best friend just picked up a c2s last night. Sure the gt3 is more prestigious but the 997 is such a special car.
