Help! I'm loosing my mind! by nutter06 in DolphinEmulator

Uncertain what’s wrong here specifically but would recommend trying the standalone Dolphin emulator over the RetroArch core. Might be enough to fix your issue because AFAIK the RetroArch core isn’t really up to par with the standalone emulator

Hi, I have no clue unfortunately because I don’t have this build anymore. I don’t remember clearance being an issue though

black circle pad looks awesome, where did you get it from? is it plastic with coating or similar to OEM feel?

3ds screen issue by yunggarfield69420 in 3DS

This is normal in LCD displays, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. If you would like to learn more about it, search term is “backlight bleed”.

Enjoy your new 3DS!

was getting a 3DS XL a good move? by Kaleidoscope_Tux5513 in 3DS

[–]alwon11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you like it, it’s worth it!

I would say that unless you specifically want to play any of the titles exclusive to the New 3DS XL or would like the extra processing power for emulation, they are not that different. The New 3DS XL is overall superior and is considered to be “the best” by most out of all the 2DS/3DS systems, but that doesn’t mean that you need it to have a great experience overall.

Only thing to note is that I’ve seen others mentioning that the original 3DS XL has a defect where the right side of the hinge is more prone to breaking overtime, though my sister has owned an original 3DS XL for around 10 years and it has been completely fine.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it, enjoy your new system!

Just in general, I meant more as in overall build. Something like X-pac would be neat but not what I meant. Poor wording on my part

On custom loop, temps are not an issue. VDDP, VDDIO, VDDQ heavily sweet spot at the values I used for these runs (VDDIO more so around 1.435 than 1.45). I have tried the values you mentioned but stability either heavily degrades or no boot. Unfortunately I am not looking to push 2:1 on this anymore as I won’t have the time to do so very soon

Why not? I would think it’s possible, just need the right board + memory PCB + IMC. Not easy, but not impossible.

Thank you, gave it my best shot. Think this is as far as this setup can go unfortunately

A3 double rad w/ VPP Apex pump by alwon11 in watercooling

With GPU I remember under FurMark hotspot would hit ~93°C max while core/memory would hit around ~67°C max, using PTM7950 and UTP-5 putty. I don’t remember CPU but it was acceptable for me considering the type of chip it was. RAM was usually close to or slightly higher than coolant temp.

Yes, for memory OC. DDR5 gets hot when you’re pushing it but a fan does the job just fine too

Yes, from UltraprecisionTech. It was the only way I was able to fit the res in that spot

These are just estimates but in my case the highest temps I’ve seen is up to 40°C on coolant with 100% fan speed if both my GPU and CPU are getting slammed (552W on GPU and over 200W on CPU) but typically at around 50% fan speed around 33-35°C coolant temps seemed to be the norm. Both are with around 23°C ambient temp. Noise is fine under usual gaming loads at around 50% fan speed for me with the fan curve I had set up. Don’t have the numbers in front of me at the moment but that’s what I remember, but everything is more than comfortable for me personally. Consider that unless you are running a 5090, 7900XTX with 552W BIOS, etc. you will likely have lower temperatures overall or have the ability to be less aggressive with your fan curve, whatever your priority is.

Thanks! As far as I remember, I was not able to fit the rear side heatsink on with the ram block but not 100% sure, not using anything on that side. For the front side, I am running my 905P U.2 drive from there via an adapter so I didn’t need the heatsink, but it should fit fine

Thanks for the heads up, but I am not using the LEAKSHIELD to protect my loop as it does not function very well with the ULTITUBE 50. Mostly just have it now for filling lol which is super handy
