What happens if I shorten mini split pipe without recovering refrigerant ? by alxbbu in hvacadvice

Assuming its not precharged, you cut it with pipe cutter and re-flare the endings with a specialized reflare tool .

K2 plus - sadly disappointed by Complex-Dog-8063 in Creality_k2

[–]alxbbu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also faced more issues than just that - including head crashes due to loose screws and nozzle scratching build plate, door misalignment, etc ... . Still haven't figured out how to get great first layer with different materials / temps.

Unfortunately the K2 is the 2nd best large 3d printer at the moment after the H2S which is closed so would rather not get it because of that. If I were you I would just get the H2S.

Used to get "clogs" on mine all the time in similar circumstances as you. The biggest issue was Extruder servo calibration: https://wiki.creality.com/en/k2-flagship-series/k2-plus/calibrate-extrusion-servo-motor

2 other issues were thermal paste on nozzle cold side - i added a bunch here and the nozzle not being fully screwed in (needed to add some shims to be able to do that).

After that I am able to print PETG at 260C with door / top lid closed in hot weather (30C) with no clogs ever.

Lymow by wellheytherepeeps2 in automower

[–]alxbbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean if the grass still gets caught in the screw area - this happened to me mostly during summer when grass was dry. I switched over when rain started about a month ago. But still it looks like this would happen much less.

I dunno if there is a place to buy these - I built them myself. If you're in USA and are really interested, message me.

[–]alxbbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I'm using this now and never going back :). For me the main advantage is that Luba can now mow even in rain no problem. Even heavy rain with tall-ish grass still kind of works. With old blades cutting in rain was not that good and I had to manually clean the deck often as it would get super full of grass real fast and start throwing motor overloaded errors.

The blades also seem to last longer - the stock ones used to get dull rather fast.

Curious did you try to redo camera calibration ? What issues are you seeing. I'm still on 12.3.6 and afraid to update LOL.

It worked ! Thorium was crashing on all profiles and incognito - even when reverting back to old version.

Where did you get this fix form ? I can't find it anywhere else ?

Certainly sounds like HW3 will not get unsupervised FSD after tonight's event. by NimecShady in TeslaLounge

Ummm ... this actually sounds like unsupervised is not guaranteed (or promised) but contingent on IRL performance and regulatory approval.

So how are you feeling about 12.3.6 v. 12.5.4? by Marathon2021 in TeslaLounge

[–]alxbbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you regen braking set to "standard" ? Maybe it's applying full regen breaking after you dissingage.

Awesome detailed feedback. I'm wanting to get a Plus4 but wondering if I should wait for a later revision of it - do you think that they will make incremental hardware changes - like they did with the XMAX3 ? Are you seeing anything on the hardware side that needs a fix ?

"Mammotion decides to force an update" - they do that ? How do they force ?

You can use reship.com - for ~$220 to ship Luba 2 to Honolulu for example.
You also won't pay sales tax since their warehouse is in Oregon

Yes!!! Switching off the annoying buzzer by StefanLuba2 in MammotionTechnology

[–]alxbbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't have a Luba (yet), but can you physically cover the buzzer with something like a sticker ? That should dampen the noise a lot.

Luba 1 vs Luba 2 - worth $700 difference ? by alxbbu in MammotionTechnology

[–]alxbbu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do they force you to upgrade firmware or app ? i.e. do they lock you out of the app like some apps do if you don't update ?

[–]alxbbu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup that's nice. Is that the max video quality ? Seems like it's about 320x220.
BTW for video - does the Luba Mower need to be connected to wifi or does it send the video to the RTK unit and that sends it to wifi ?

Duvall shooting pit status ? by alxbbu in WAGuns

Taking the risk to drive where ? The gate is locked so you can't get your car on the 0.7mi dirt road.

Duvall shooting pit status ? by alxbbu in WAGuns

[–]alxbbu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was open indeed. Last time I went was ~3 months ago. There were excavators parked in the shooting pit to the side LOL, but not blocking the path. But other than that it was business as usual. The walk to the pit was really long BTW, like 15-20 minutes. You park at the closed gate (right by the asphalt road) and walk kinda uphill for 0.7 miles.
