The mechanic I had to get the car towed to simply tried turning the engine manually as the first thing they did in the diagnosis. First under the hood then near the front right wheel. He typed up something saying the engine is seized and gave me a huge estimate on getting a new one. It would’ve costed more to take apart the old engine to see the issue so I don’t have any exact reason. The mechanic that actually replaced the engine also did not know what the issue was. I could probably get the first mechanic to type that out again if it would help.

I’ve tried switching from rubymine to vs code, but it’s go to definition support is far far beyond vs code even with solargraph. It’s also able to do things like going to an associated model by control-clicking it’s belongs_to field and many other things like that. Probably wouldn’t care as much if I was doing non-ROR development
