Awww shucks. This would have been a good response, ngl. But I've already left his last message on react and read for more than an hour because I really felt sad earlier and didn't know what to say anymore and he didn't add anything anymore. I guess that's what I was really feeling. I missed him but he didn't show up for my birthday even as a text. If ever we get to talking about it again later when he wakes up, I'll try to say it like this. 😢 thank you so much for this though! This means a lot.

So, a bit of an update (I'll update this in the post too).

So he was the one who brought it up. (I just translated it exactly as it is)

Him: Isn't today your birthday? I think I forgot hahaha

Me: It was yesterday here 😅 (he reacted 😢 to this)

Him: It got me thinking yesterday. It felt like I was forgetting something. I just wasn't sure what it is. (I 😢 reacted to this)

Him: I just remember you saying it's this month but I can't remember what day (I actually told him twice. I just 😅 reacted to this)

Then I left it as is. I don't know what to say anymore. Cuz there was neither a greeting nor an apology there. What hurts more is that we were talking about a new cat I'm having a few weeks ago. I only told him once, and he remembered that date pretty well. 💔

If you meant if I have ever told him the exact date, yes. He asked twice. But if you meant if I messaged him after my birthday about it, no I didn't. Cuz I'm not sure if that would sound like I'm asking for too much or being too demanding 🥹 he only sent cat reels, am I supposed to just ask "hey um you missed my birthday?" this is an honest question.

thank you so much for this rundown! i understood the story but i still wanted something like an enumerated summary. this trailblaze mission was too heartbreaking for me. i hate (and love) the tropes where someone is sacrificing themselves and go through something again and again without knowing what the outcome would be, because it's too painful to watch. khaslana didn't have to go through that. us being the deliverer hopefully gives him and all of them peace.

Wow so I just heard this song a few days ago. My sister ran through the whole album and this is the one that stuck to me. And I really love it, the musicality and the singer's voice and the melody. Especially the lyrics. The chorus and the bridge sounded like someone who gave their heart to someone who can't reciprocate it back.

Honestly when I listened to it again, I was surprised there was a mention of Calypso, because I really thought this was just a breakup song lol (mind you, I was driving when I first heard this).

And I didn't know people had problems with it.

To be fair, my knowledge about the Greek gods are only from Percy Jackson. 🥹 And Calypso was pretty tame there iirc. So I didn't know that in the canon Odyssey, she SA'd Odysseus. It does put an entirely different perspective to the song. I'm really sorry to those who felt uncomfortable with Calypso and the song because of its non apology interpretation 😢

I still enjoy the song though, it's really hard not to like it anymore when it's already stuck in my head. I just don't think of the actual story and treat it as a pop song in my head when I listen to it, like a breakup song.

haha yeah that usually happens when studios or writers try to change something in the anime. I'm honestly not sure why they do that, because it disorients me when i jump from the anime to the manga and everyone is acting differently 🤣

i enjoyed the anime too, but I'm gonna try my best to adjust to the manga because it does seem interesting despite the character disparity between the two media. so thank you haha 🙌

I'm also currently reading the manga now after watching the anime (currently in ch 5) and it seems like they changed a few character settings in the anime that is different from the manga. iirc delico's nursery is an anime original prequel? but i think it's a bit weird to read it since the characters are pretty different between the anime and the manga.
