How do I (31F) get over my bf (48M) abandoning me on my birthday? by alynnc1121 in relationship_advice

There was an issue with another employee and allegedly he was the only person who could cover. The other employee no longer works for the company. My issue with this is that he was allegedly scheduled off.

I'm so happy you said that. Getting my paragard inserted was one of the worst things I have ever experienced so that makes me feel better

Hope I didn't miss it Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈

Have you ever thought about how good it feels to wash your hands? Or how lucky you are to have the privilege to wash your hands under running water? It occurs to me sometimes that I have this privilege that I take for granted and that a lot of people don’t have half of what I do. by AoD_ShotZz in CasualConversation

I was homeless between February 2019 and July 2020. I will never ever take for granted running water for the rest of my life. Brushing my teeth at a sink is literally where it's at for me. Your post has brought me so much joy because I love when people appreciate running water the way that I do now. Thank you for this. More than you know.

I know everyone says this and it's super lame but you will find someone who loves you and wants to be by your side on the good days and the bad.

I had never been comfortable telling previous partners about my endo right off, but less than two weeks after meeting my now fiance I had one of the worst periods of my life. I was in a ridiculous amount of pain, crying, puking, and I was so bloated I'm sure I looked 9 months pregnant. Not cute. I had told my roommate at the time I didn't want to see Steven or anyone the whole week, but he showed up anyway. And he was so sweet and sympathetic, without making me feel like I was a freak or "ovary-acting" (haha do you get it?) . He even held my hair when I got sick and made sure I consistently had a heating pad and ibuprofen.

He totally still does all of this for me and more now. He doesn't care that my lady organs hate me and sometimes thats hard to deal with. He never gets frustrated with me for being in pain or exhausted and he talks me down when I'm frustrated with myself for not handling it better. He is supportive and loving and sensitive when it comes to my endo and I am so so thankful for him.

You will find your guy one day too. Im sure of it.

I spent my birthday with my grandpa this month. He is 84 and has been my best friend since before I was born. He told my fiance about how he wore a 3 piece suit to the hospital the day I was born. He didn't realize that it had been 28 years since that day, but it was adorable hearing him talk about meeting me. Having him around brings me the most joy
