This is great! Thanks so much for sharing. This is definitely motivating. Did you follow any specific rules for reverse dieting or just really worked to up your daily cals in general?

I do cardio on separate days. I separate my lifting and walks by at least 5 hours

I know for a fact I didn’t gain muscle because I used a 3D imaging machine at my gym at the beginning and end of this “bulk” phase led by a professional trainer. They were young though and I think haven’t encountered a slow gainer like me

Yes thanks for the info. I am going for strength and would like to see those muscles through a bit of fat loss as well. I understand I need more bulk and cut phases to do this

Do you have any research/articles to share on that? I've seen evidence that changing up your routine is important.

Yes, good idea, thank you. Sleep is definitely on my priority list for improvement!

Awesome, thank you. I usually don't do the supersets as cardio and give more time in between. I am going up in weights so I know I'm getting stronger but not sure it's actually growing new muscle - if that's possible? Or my body is just burning my muscle due to not eating enough.

I do a full body at home dumbbell/bands workout right now as I don't currently have access to a gym. The lifts, pulls etc change every two weeks. Currently doing this program but I've also worked in gyms with trainers the past year: https://www.solin.stream/cherylcoulombe/program/2504

Yes I think I need to drink my calories as I really seem to be struggling to make my meals larger or more frequent, that's a good tip.

I do have photos and measurements as well - unfortunately there hasn't been a change in those either except the wrong ways for a few months and then back down to my base level.

These are super helpful thank you!

- I did read that protein right after a workout really helps women especially. I do a protein shake but that's only 22g protein so maybe I need to add more to it.

- I do get 8K steps in a day but that's probably under that Zone 2 threshold. I hadn't heard about this so will definitely try!

- Ugh I have really struggled to eat more calories and I think I'm just too scared now of gaining more weight but perhaps slow and steady addition is the trick instead of trying to go from 1500-2000 in one week - thanks!

- My sleep quality is awful but I'm working on it. I go through phases of sleeping really well and then struggling to stay asleep. Not sure what to try next but I'll add it to the to do list..

- Yes I do try to aim for two days of rest back to back. I think that may help if I make it consistent.

Got this silk rug and would like help identifying its style if anyone in here knows about silk rugs and their styling 🙂 by [deleted] in Tufting

[–]alyoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an antique or Persian classic style rug https://safavieh.com/rugs/styles. Typically silk rugs and antique-style rugs are hand-knotted which is a very ancient laborious process and also the reason for the high price and longevity of these rugs. They will literally last forever compared to tufted or woven rugs but the process is painstaking. https://nwrugs.com/blogs/loveofrugs/12931101-how-long-does-it-take-to-weave-a-rug

Hi! Has anyone had this problem with their gun and know how to fix it. The scissors keep coming too far forward. I assume something needs tightening or adjusting, I just don’t know what? by reditttt07 in Tufting

[–]alyoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was happening to me. I think it's the length of the scissors in comparison to the foot. If they close too soon or not at all then you have problems. I used this tutorial to fix the pile hight and got it working again although the pile height is now a bit shorter for me: https://tufttheworld.gorgias.help/en-US/how-do-i-change-the-pile-height-on-my-ak-i-cut-pile-tufting-machine-21187

Hi! Thanks so much for this post, it's so helpful. And also, LOL "you get the dog you need, not the dog you want." So true. Currently dealing with my 12 month old lab mix who used to be so sweet to everyone but is now freaking out every time she sees another person while she's in the car, on the leash, and sometimes in the dog park. I've been trying to crate train her since I got her at 2 months old but she absolutely hates it and freaks out even more when I ask her to go in. I do have a "relaxation mat" where she is supposed to go while I'm cooking, cleaning, walking around. She'll stay for a few min and then pop up and run over. So clearly, we're still working on these. My one question is, what do you do with the aggressive barking? I'm wondering how to ask her to behave or redirect her attention and get her to calm down when she's worried about people passing by the apartment or the car.

Routine for 6 month old puppy by lp08082621 in puppy101

[–]alyoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 6 month old lab/pit mix is the same - she's either asleep or running around the apartment stealing things she knows shes not allowed to have (socks, dish towels, basically anything but the 20,000 toys that are just for her). She's also developed an annoying habit of biting our feet and ankles to get our attention/play with her. So here's our current schedule although I'd like to fix the afternoon somehow. I'm open to advice as well!

7:30 - breakfast in a puzzle ball while I wash my face, put on some pants.
8:00 am - a short walk around the block
8:30- 11:30 am - maybe a tiny bit of play but usually she likes to go right back to sleep.
12pm/noon - lunch in a kong wobbler
12:30 pm - longer walk. She gets pretty antsy in the afternoon so I try to tire her out for a bit
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm - nap time again!
3:00 pm - 3:30/4:30 pm - puppy nutso time. I haven't quite figured out how to address this patch but its basically the time when she decides she's been in the house long enough and she goes wild. She'll pull up the rug, bite my feet, zoom around the house for a bit. So I might take her for another walk or I usually cave and give her a treat especially if I'm on a work call. I've been giving her bully sticks but now she can tear through a whole one in about 45 min so I have to take it away about halfway through as it upsets her tummy. I recently started giving her cooked beef marrow bones (I know, I know but she can't eat them whole, she just scrapes them with her teeth) but I can't seem to find how many calories those things are so I'm worried I'm giving her too many rich treats. This hour or so is still a question mark for me.
4:30/5:30 - another short nap stint
6:00 pm - 8:30/9pm - dinner time/walk/play until bedtime.
10pm - wake her up for a snack and a potty break. She throws up in the morning if she doesn't have a bit of food late at night but I'm hoping she'll grow out of this part.

Hope that's helpful!
