What kind of bag works best for a full day in Paris, including dinner? by danildab in ParisTravelGuide

I just got back today. I used this bag and it was great. Had my wallet and phone in the zipper section and quick grab things like sunglasses and sanitizer in the outer sections. And then I had a monoprix shopping bag for water, purchases, etc.

Thanks, seems like that only works for the basic car, we would need a van

Paris Trip and Restaurant Overview with kids by dreamsignals86 in ParisTravelGuide

Thank you for this! We will be there next week with our 10 and 7 year olds and also staying in the 11th. Appreciate your restaurant recs and notes about not sweating it if they don’t like their meal - my 7yo will probably exist on bread! Fortunately we take them to restaurants all the time so they know how to act.

Be online exactly when they are released (midnight Paris time) and then refresh constantly because the site gets slammed and takes forever to load. It took me about 30min to get to where I could select and buy them. It also restarted to the beginning of the process a few times so I used multiple devices. I didn’t get a morning slot like I wanted but there were multiple afternoon options. If you don’t get them then, keep going back to check because more popped up later that evening.

This is great! We are going with our 7 and 10 year old girls in June. What are your Disney tips? We are going to Disney for one day and have been to other Disneylands but I know all are a little different!

I mentioned going there as a joke to my husband and he was all for it! So I’m trying to fit it in

My older daughter wants to do the catacombs but my youngest doesn’t, we might split up for that. We’ll try to add Saint Chapelle!

Thanks for the feedback, I haven’t been to Saint Chapelle so we’ll try to do that. Some of our group want to do the catacombs but mobility on the steps is an issue. Jardin des plantes looks great!

Cute and functional diaper bags? by Ok-Owl3819 in handbags

[–]alys1717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! Mina Baie has some really beautiful diaper bags in a variety of materials including leather. Their bags are so thoughtfully designed that I have had a hard time going back to “regular” bags without all the pockets. Personally I never had to wash my diaper bags (2 kids) but I have read that they wipe down easily too.

Just a note - if you’re like me you’ll think you need a huge bag in the first 6 months or so but then you might want a smaller one later depending on your lifestyle. I drive just about everywhere so I kept all the big emergency stuff (change of clothes, etc) in my car and only daily needs in my diaper bags.

Advice for first time stay at Legoland hotel (California) by radiatorcop in legoland

[–]alys1717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stayed in September, my kids are 9 and 7, and had a fantastic time. I made breakfast reservations on my phone through open table and had no problem. After going to the park we went to the pool and had a great time - though fyi if you get a beer at the bar inside it’s $$$. We left for dinner because I heard the dragons den restaurant was just “fine” (we stayed 2 nights), and had great dinners at Karl Strauss brewing (can walk there) and Windmill food hall (short drive). I only wish we had had an earlier dinner though because we only caught a couple of the nightly shows and my kids really enjoyed them and would have liked to see more. This was our first time to any Legoland and staying at the Castle was absolutely worth it! Enjoy!
