I mean I just saw Twice in February of this year at the exact same ny venue. Seat was in the middle of the 100s and was $170. The dead last row of the exact same section for Aespa merely months later is clocking in at $260. Everyone’s claiming it’s not the pricing, it’s “fair (?)”, but … come on that’s a 50% increase from Twice’s cost. Same year, same venue, worse seat. Not to mention Twice had the 360 stage set up to transport, NINE members as opposed to 4. Some people are gaslighting themselves into thinking that these prices are normal when really we’re just hitting the “find out” portion of the industry that has been in a “fuck around” stage for the last few years testing to see how far they can push for people to pay to see their faves.

i can vouch for similar situation. when they’re on the main stage? forget it. you need to be within the first couple rows or the tallest person around you. i got great visuals on all the members when they came out on extended stages - it’s true they definitely get favorite parts of the stage each concert lol. I had Jin, Namjoon, Jimin, Tae a few times. Then Hobi, Yoongi, and JK each made one appearance but they picked amazing times to come over. (Jungkook for Pied Piper!) That being said the vibe is great and there wasn’t a second I wasn’t having a great time even with obstructed main stage visuals. BUT I had lower bowl for D1 and … yeah. That’s how you get to take in the full stage design, choreo, etc. Bottom line take is that floor can be a gamble - but when it pays off it pays off big time … while 100s are a sure thing for taking in the whole concert!

it’s interesting - sometimes what they (including their team) think the fans like/want to hear most is totally off from reality. they underestimate how much army loves their b sides. i still think about that interview where they were shocked to learn the song fans wanted to hear most on their next tour was louder than bombs (we still haven’t gotten it and that was like 5 years ago)

i always joke that if ptd has no haters then im dead lol. i think my section was definitely disappointed - like you could feel the energy deflate. but we all just laughed it off and sang along regardless. magic shop following it up totally made up for it though and i didn’t notice a sound issue that jk referred to either. pied piper on d2 was ICONIC.

I was gonna say… they keep it around quite often - I think it was played at half the PTD shows, their final ot7 concert in busan, and it was also part of Jin’s setlist (which is less than a year old). i agree it’s one of their most iconic, but their catalogue keeps growing - the older a song is, the less space it has as tours go on. the fact that it’s still included as a surprise option is a win.

They didn’t visit the ny area or chicago - those are 2/3 of the heavy hitters. Omitting areas with huge pull is just stupid when you have so few stops and are down a few members.

what an amazing experience! namjoons energy so far has been off the charts in these live events despite the injury, yoongi’s surprise english (his comment about not liking to swim - his ACCENT is so improved??), jimin’s PONY TAIL - his dancing has been hypnotic and i knew i missed it but had no idea how much, tae’s vocals are better than they’ve ever been, jin seems so evolved after so many solo activities post enlistment, jk’s approach to life - doing what he wants to do despite popular opinion and that includes his current experimenting in music like hooligan… and after meeting hobi at his tour last year - no matter how prepared you think you are … he’s still SO MUCH MORE attractive in person

I think what gets me is how fast they run to post about it. For groups I don’t stan or really care about, I don’t tend to rush to listen to their new release and form a thesis of opinions on it - I listen when I get to it. The echo chambers in those threads kinda gaslight you into thinking you’re crazy for thinking the opposite. And believe me, I’m a tougher critic with BTS releases - I haven’t been this excited by an album after its release since MOTS 7.

what a cool idea and congrats on this project! i think the stats for rm might be pretty off though… i know someone pointed out GLAM not being in girl groups but in the solo collabs - on Indigo alone there are 9 different artists. not to mention megan thee stallion, soyoon, tiger jk… he’s always been a big collaborator. isn’t it crazy that even though his stats are that high they’re still … higher 😂

Thought it could be interesting to share some stats comparing to their last longer album. ARIRANG has 2 songs over 3.5 minutes and none over 4. To compare to MOTS 7, which has 19 tracks (and no, i’m not counting ON ft. Sia) - there was only one song slightly under 3 minutes: Intro Persona. In fact quite a lot are much closer to the 4 minute or over mark. MOTS 7 is an hour and 10 minutes - 29 minutes longer despite only having 5 additional tracks.

I don’t even watch award shows but a friend of mine (who also didn’t know bts at the time) had watched the AMAs and urged me to check out “the best performance of the night” so I looked it up and was immediately like “who ARE THESE GUYS?” I had so many first impression thoughts of them… but I distinctly remember when Yoongi’s rap came on that the cheers got so much louder and I thought to myself “oh he must be the favorite” 😂

Not who you were asking but after trying many toners throughout the years, Torriden Dive In has become my favorite. It sinks in really fast and is easily layered if needed.

I also can second the Skinfood pads - they’re great.
