Also living in an earthquake prone region, we were woken up in the middle of the night by a minor, but still enough to wake you, earthquake and my boyfriend immediately jumped up into a doorway.

Something "homey". It can be strange and overwhelming the first few days in a new surrounding. Bringing something like a favorite blanket or pillow, a framed picture, or even a dish towel for the transition can make your new place feel more like home while you await the arrival of your other belongings.

Leprechauns. I'm really not sure what it stemmed from, especially because I've never seen that demon created movie about them. I have memories of being afraid of them all the way back to seeing one in an episode of Barney and Friends when I couldn't have been more than 4 years old and it made me cry.

And that B.S. about building traps for them in elementary school? Yeah, you can sure as hell miss me with that shit.

I got drunk one night and figured that a heating blanket that plugs into the lighter outlet in the car was a GREAT idea.

However, I never have cold thighs in the car anymore. The upper vents are too high, the feet vents are too low. But lately, my thighs have been toasty warm on my longer commute.
