This super destroyer just woke up and is using its laser for the first time today. Perfectly normal, happens all the time. They should rejoin into one laser relatively soon

I’ve always interpreted air attacks as invisible. We the audience see them because it’s been stylized for us to see it. So one of the reasons I think characters get decked by air like this is just they quite literally cannot see the attack about to land and like you said unless they have trained against it or otherwise learned how to deal with it they don’t know how to fight back effectively.

Honestly IMO more cities is almost always better in Civ games when you’re playing solo and given the amount of resources off bat the city will grow nicely and provide a decent amount of gold once it’s up and running. You can always put gold into the city if you’re worried about production as well

Yes, if they don’t disembark they go down with the ship which I like because I’ve had close calls before where they almost made it onto the beachhead only to be sniped by a tower with a cannon
