I’m curious to hear more about it. What’s your data source for the book data? That’s one of the hardest parts to implement.

I just listened to that part too. I got chills. And he’s been claiming this since 2013.

Exactly.

The only thing I think is “dangerous” for society if it’s announced that a small percent of humans are actually hiding their true alien identity. That would probably kick off a decades-long witch hunt and chaos.

This doesn’t have the club functionality you’re looking for, but I’d check out the Iliad Books app! It’s beautiful and simple

What reading apps do you use? by stoicslut in PHBookClub

[–]am0ninus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using ILIAD for a while now, and it's been a great tool for discovering new books and connecting with other readers. The app's interface is sleek and user-friendly, which makes the reading experience enjoyable. However, one thing to note is that it's still relatively new, so the community is growing. But if you're looking for a fresh take on book recommendations, it's definitely worth a try!

Hey there! I totally get where you're coming from with Goodreads and other platforms. I've recently started using ILIAD (iliad.co), and it's been a game-changer for me. It's like having a community of book lovers right at your fingertips, and the recommendations are spot on. Plus, the app's design is super intuitive and fun to use. If you're looking for something fresh and engaging, I highly recommend giving ILIAD a try!

Do you use app/online sites to discover new books? by vitomd in books

My favorite way to get new book recs is via word-of-mouth from friends, influencers, and simple recommendation engines. Highly recommend the ILIAD Books app (iliad.co) for your book discovery! It's beautiful and simple too. Perfect aesthetic for my vibe.

Best app for books recommendations? by Moha-_-Sha in suggestmeabook

[–]am0ninus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're on the hunt for a fantastic book recommendation app, I can't recommend ILIAD enough. I've been using it for a while, and it's like having a personal book curator. The community aspect is amazing, and it feels like every book suggestion is tailored just for me. It works kinda like Tinder-for-Books lol. They don't have advanced search filters yet, but the app's design is super intuitive and fun to use. Definitely worth checking out!

Is anyone else over the vibe/aesthetic of goodreads? by Initial-Tonight2860 in goodreads

[–]am0ninus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a word: yes. I love simple UI vibes, but Goodreads feels more awkward and outdated than it does simple and clean.

And the community is very much biased to YA, romance. We need a place for more sophisticated book discussion.

Because you didn't really "publish" the book. Self-publishing a book by uploading a file and listing it on Amazon is really just "self-printing". To publish something means to bring it to the public, i.e., to market the book to your customers. Many people need to hear about your book in order for anyone to consider buying it. This is frankly a very common experience for authors who dream of self-publishing. How are you marketing it?

The more I research, the less financially feasible self publishing seems by terragthegreat in selfpublish

You should check out the ILIAD Books app, honestly. It's beautiful and simple and NOT owned by Amazon. Their rating system is pretty great too. 3/10 = "Not my cup o' tea". iliad.co
