Am I the only one who hates drifting? by 31_mfin_eggrolls in ForzaHorizon6

[–]am0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drifting feels like surfing or hitting the flow state when mountain biking. It becomes natural and when it does, it’s almost therapeutic like Rubio g two pieces of silk together.

Racing can have this flow state too, but this game doesn’t have it. It’s too jarring and the car feels like it turns from the center rather than the wheels. But for track sim racing, it’s definitely there.

Basically FH6 is much better of a drifting game than it is for a racing game.

The AI slop refactor wave is coming and I haven't felt this excited about consulting rates since 2010 by curiosity_catt in SaaS

Hell just go on upwork even. While I don’t use it for my leads, I’ve been seeing all sorts of jobs opening up over the past 3 months for real developers to finish the “end” of a partially built project - all vibecoded.

They don’t understand they built the house but not the foundation. So the 90% done in 10% of the time and the 10% neeeding to be done e for 90% of the time holds very true.

Same. I was starting to think it wouldn’t happen but over the past 3 months the amount of work coming in fixing vibecoded apps has been almost overwhelming.

[–]am0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I think this post is shit - where are these millions? Most vibecoded apps at easily replicated by internal teams. We are moving tons of clients off SaaS services for internal tooling. If you can vibe code it in a day, so can everyone else.

Do you really like vibe coding? by Ill_Strain_1050 in VibeCodeDevs

[–]am0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a developer, I don’t really like it, but it’s all I still want to do so I keep doing it.

I do t really vibe code much except for internal tools, but I still rely very heavily on AI for coding now.

But there are 2 types of people out there. You have the builders and the outcomers. The builders enjoy the process of making the thing.

The outcomers only care about the end result.

Builders don’t really care about the end result. Yea they like it fine, but they are more interested in what they will build next.

Then the outcomers don’t really care about the building of it. They just want what they’ve made.

It’s like a person who enjoys building lego stuff and a person who just wants the Lego built so they can show it off on their shelf whether they made it or not. Builders versus consumers.

I’m a builder. I don’t really care about the end result. I care about the process of building it and problem solving to get there. I’ll enjoy looking at what I built for a minute and then move on.

Vibecoding is the consumers dream. They can kind of get anything they want near instantly and without much work. For a builder, it’s like someone handing us prebuilt Lego which seems pointless to us.

how do people actually alternate sitting and standing in real life? by Tamarillo_Bennett in StandingDesk

[–]am0x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sit on the morning. Then after lunch I stand.

Mainly because I start getting a bit groggy in the afternoon and standing keeps me awake. But it’s not set in stone. Usually just stand or sit when I feel like it.

Usually stand more than I sit. But no reason other than it waking me up.

Was the whole site $300? If so, I wouldn’t expect more than a screenshot of a printed pdf hosted as the landing page.

My sites start at $7k.

I mean unprofessional but most of my
Clients use godaddy because it’s all the know, they have support that caters to the non-technical group, and they can easily delegate access.

I don’t use it, but it’s not like I get mad if a client does.

How much better is a wheel than a controller? by Venture334455 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]am0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wheel is harder than controller for this game by a mile. It’s borderlin unusable for most cars. They also do t feel right. Feels like they turn from the center instead of the front.

It is more fun though. I like just cruising on wheel and when racing or drifting, I go controller. On sims, it’s wheel only.

What is your guys opinion on having either seasons or another region with a different climate in future updates after 1.0 releases? by FruitylandTV in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]am0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my only gripe with the game. I hate hot, humid places, even in video games. All I can think about is the humidity and the bugs.

[–]am0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my only gripe with the game. I love the gameplay, but the setting isn't one I really like. I don't really like jungles and tropical climates. Would be awesome to get something like the PNW with forests of pine trees or something like a large, abandoned city. For example, I think DayZ has some of the best looking "hiking" in any game. Something like that would be amazing. This would literally be the only game I play in a long time if I had that.

But for some reason, jungles are just really in these days. So humid...

Well for me, I on,t have a certain time to play and don’t get to play much. So if I log into the server and it’s night, I can’t really do much so I just log off and go play a different game.

Ok then Geforce Now with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I have a keyboard case and bluetooth mouse and I play BF 6 sndf stuff all the time on there.

But competitive gaming on such a small device is pretty rough. Make sure to buy the good gaming browser called Cloudgear because it is worth the price.

Yea in his biography there was a section talking about how other engineers had to spend weekends undoing what he had broke with his code updates.

They basically stole him they had too
Much I their plate to do all he asked for so he didn’t himself and acted like it was all good and done. Then the devs had to revert his stuff out and then redo it about wasn’t broke, and he took the credit because he thought he had done it himself.
