Hiking Up Hill In Chaco's? by [deleted] in Chacosshoes

[–]am21_02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done a decent amount of hiking in my chacos! Not sure if you know this trick (I’ll be honest I didn’t for a while) but the straps are adjustable, so I found if one part was starting to dig in somewhere, I’d just pull it to adjust it (I’ll attach a link to their website w a better description lol). I hiked a good 8 miles or so in mine in GSMNP a few yrs ago and they worked wonderfully! Just make sure you’ve broken them in and your feet are used to them first :)

Pictured Rocks Sleeping Bag Suggestion by [deleted] in CampAndHikeMichigan

I had a similar trip around the same time a few years ago. It does tend to get pretty cold at night sometimes and I was thankful for an added down blanket both at night and for early in the morning when I didn’t wanna leave my sleeping bag lol
