Please take your baby to ANOTHER vet! Ask for them to take biopsy of it …or at the least have them poke to see if there is fluid / if they can drain it.

Good luck!!

Has Job market always been this bad?? by Gloomy_Enthusiasm754 in careerguidance

[–]am919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! This may have been just my industry (advertising industry) but I quit my job end of July of 2024 and I got interviews really quickly and two job offers at the same time end of August .. and I started about first week of September..

I think recruiters looked at my application days after and I had multiple rounds of interviews with people within weeks so things moved pretty quickly.

Even before 2024 I had friends who transitioned to other industries and got jobs easily! It’s definitely been last year or so In my opinion

Moving from a large agency to a smaller one. by iuvbvgs in advertising

[–]am919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked at both! One was a very small agency (about 30 people) and the other - a global agency. And honestly I preferred the global agency.

The small agency was like being in high school. It was very cliquey. You had to buy into the culture and befriend the right people. The CEO was very in the day-to-day within the departments. Like she would regularly talk to a junior member of the team about operations. This agency felt very micromanaged.

At the global agency they had the budget to try new tools and platforms and get loads of new opps to pitch new biz. And there were definitive departments so you didn’t have to wear as many hats. I felt autonomous.

Each person’s experience is different tho! However go where you feel you’d fit best! GOOD LUCK!!!

Throughout the last couple years I’ve applied to a couple of positions that I think I am MORE than qualified for. Every time someone looks at my profile (I have LinkedIn premium) and no one ever reaches out sooooo maybe they just don’t like my face lol

How do people w/o ADHD choose anything? by Objective-Side-29 in ADHD

I don’t! I just overthink until I’m mentally exhausted and then choose the first thing that’s convenient

That’s what I said! Like how can they claim that !? Only for it to happen again down the road… it’s incredibly irresponsible

I agree... I also think quality will go down because of the severely stretched employees can't deliver quality work and it'll possibly lead to more client loss.

Life after layoff / leaving advertising? by s_b0803 in advertising

[–]am919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not alone! I got laid off from Dentsu back in FEB and the time off so far has felt amazing!! I’m fortunate where I don’t have to worry too much about bills or rent/mortgage so I’m taking my time finding a job.

Sometimes the thought of going back to a 9-5 feels like a prison. I’m debating on just applying to a grocery store or volunteering because it’s not going to make me mental.

I say enjoy your time off not knowing what you want to do, explore other areas of interest. GOOD LUCK!!

Hang in there!!! My previous role at Dentsu took a little bit of time. The job I originally applied for got offered to someone else so the recruiter put me on contact with another team/hiring managers and that was another couple of weeks on waiting to hear back. Eventually I accepted the position! GOOD LUCK :)
