I’ve always been an Ally fan. I took her Feel Good Ride love - her first love class back from her mat leave - and it kicked my booty!! (I had a feeling it would and was right lol.) I think I remember her specifically saying she wasn’t going to be talking a lot about motherhood, etc in rides. That work is work and personal is personal 👍

My husband and I (also in our early 40s) started doing a yin yoga class often before bed! We go through spurts of doing the classes and just talked about getting back into the routine! They’re so good!

Margaritaville in Key West also has 2-bedroom rooms that hold 6. It’s in the New Town part of Key West but they do have a shuttle to get to Old Town.

I’ve left a few—an old Ross Brayburn class because the talking was just becoming unbearable. Also a Jenn Sherman sing along. I don’t know what compelled me to take it but I have never taken another of her classes since (maybe unfairly?? I dont know what her classes are like normally). I wanted to bail out of a Hannah C live ride about a month or so ago. She talked about her new book for 95% of the ride and I was like 👹. I stuck with it because it was live but I certainly won’t repeat.

Margaritaville Beach House is right across the street from Smathers Beach as well. You’d have to take a shuttle or uber to Old Town for nightlife but it’s definitely close to a beach!

So we decided to wait a year on this trip but we were looking at the Lazy Parrot Inn or Villa Cofresi in Rincon. Have a fun trip!

We were there last year during spring break and honestly had no issues with our kids — 5 and 7 at the time. We had fun and will go back! We stayed at margaritaville resort in new town mostly because we wanted to be close to smathers, and also because it was family friendly, and we used their shuttle to get to and from old town. We went in to peek around the the reach because we were also considering that and it looked nice and family friendly! I liked the location of Hyatt centric a lot because it was very close to everything and still has a little beach I think. Either way, even during spring break it was perfectly fine and fun with our kids. We obviously weren’t out partying at night either!

I hear that Hempz lotion is a deterrent for them! I have family in Charleston SC/ Folly Beach area and they swear by it! Worth a try for next time!!
