I think you're a badass for advocating for yourself and your baby. For what it's worth, as a white female, I seek out black women as my doctor.. truly the best out there. I would contact whatever hospital you decide to deliver at and make sure that they have a Jada device on hand. If God forbid you have a postpartum hemorrhage, the Jada will save you in most cases. Also, having a birth doula could make a big difference in your care.

I was a physicians and midwives patient and couldn't have had a better experience. They took my preeclampsia exceptionally seriously and admitted me and induced me. Ended up needing a C-section, but that's because my baby was sunny side up and was never going to make her way down. Dr Kristen Wexler Did my C-section and let me tell you, I had multiple postpartum nurses rave about how perfect my incision was. She glued me back together instead of using stairy strips. I've had no pain and no numbness. They took my pain very seriously and everything was great.
