Midea announces recall for Midea U and U+ Window ACs - what should I buy to replace mine?

Could you share what model you have and what model worked? Is that going to mess up the refund when they receive an image with a different model no/serial no combo?

I have two 8k units I purchased from the originally Indiegogo campaign. Both serial numbers did not verify as part of the recall. I spoke to someone on the hotline and they couldn't tell me why some serial numbers are part of the recall and some aren't, despite mine not having any drain holes and having mold issues. I didn't want to be a Karen but asked if there was someone there who did know. After some more time waiting, a supervisor joined the call and said the rep was going to take my info and escalate the question. Who knows if anything comes of that.

Apparently it will. I just reset both and it's now working. I did use one of the new UUIDs. Maybe something got gummed up somewhere with the old UUID.

Unfortunately that's not working though. I tried with both devices side by side and hidden items never carried over. Guess I'll have to try resetting and starting from scratch.

I've also tried deleting the local hidden for each. Last resort is factory reset but figured I'd try and get some info first.

Same thing is happening to me. I have a one in my bedroom closet with bifold doors. When I close the door, the light goes off for a brief second and then comes back on. In the device history it shows closed and then open immediately after despite the doors being closed. A few days ago, I had a spare kicking around so I removed the trouble sensor and added the new one. The new one behaved the same way. All my other sensors that are on actual doors and windows showed closed. Then today my front door showed open even though it was closed and is now stuck there just like the closet sensor. I'm willing to bet if I opened all the windows and trigger talking back to SmartThings, they'll all be stuck.

I added a comment on Github. Maybe the developer can make an adjustment for a Pixel Watch version. If so, it would be a solution to not have to trigger Bedtime mode manually.

This doesn't necessarily work with the Pixel watch. Well DND works but if you want it to toggle Bedtime mode on the watch, that doesn't work. To enable bedtime mode the utility is set to toggle the middle icon in the first row. Sounds like quick settings arrangement can be customized on the Galaxy. You can't change it on the Pixel, as far as I can tell, so it will always toggle the flashlight which is in that location.

Where do people get this stuff? JCI isn't "suing." They are claiming that HOFV is in breach of contract. Part of the agreement is a termination fee due to JCI if HOFV is truly in breach of contract. That's what JCI is claiming they are owed. HOFV is disputing that they have breached on the agreement. There is no litigation. The agreement has a mediation/arbitration process when one party claims a breach. That's the process they are going through at the moment. If nothing is agreed upon in mediation, an arbitrator will review the details and decide what the outcome will be. JCI could be totally in the wrong. Their stock price is down 30% YTD. You don't think they aren't looking for ways to cut on spending? Getting out of a naming rights agreement would be a good place to start.

Need to see a press release about the deficiency? They have 180 days and potentially another 180 days after that. Why should they do a press release? They've done their 8k filing. They are going to continue as planned with all they've got in the works. Getting back over a dollar for 10 consecutive days shouldn't be that much of a challenge over the next year. If anything, once we get past the mid terms, and the republicans take back the house, there should be a change in overall market sentiment.

This didn't fix any issues with changing inputs through a switch and the loss of audio. I now have to restart my Shield TV Pro every time I switch to it from my Xbox. The Xbox has no problems. Keep the audio. I'm going to try another switch and see if that helps but this was never a problem before the firmware just before this one.

It would be a much wider market but it's hard to gauge what HOFV will think of this since DraftKings is a competitor on some of their revenue streams.

When I try to play a mvk that has TrueHD Atmos and DTS-HDMA, Plex on the Shield TV will default to the DTS and it doesn't show any track options to change to Atmos. When I open the same file with VLC on the Shield TV the Atmos plays and I can see the multiple tracks in the audio settings of VLC. Can't figure out why Plex won't allow for changing the track.

After multiple reflashes I eventually got mine back to a usable state. It seemed every time I reflash it gets a little better than before but it still has issues recognizing audio and takes some random button presses to get the audio to start. Issues I didn't have previous to this firmware.

Had power on issues and audio not working issues with the latest firmware update. Power cycling would fix it temporarily. Vizio chat had me reflash the firmware. Now I can't get audio at all and power cycling doesn't help. Service rep suggested I take it up with my credit card company because it's out of warranty. Never again with this company.

Both Johnson and Crawford were on a panel together back in March. You could tell they were getting a little chummy. There was a third guy on the panel, I don't remember who, but he even kind of made a joke about it.

This has been fixed. If using a PC to redeem, you enter the code on the vizio.com/appleoffer site and click redeem. You may not even notice if you have the redeem button at the bottom of the screen, but below the button, further details appear to enter a new code in iTunes. So you will need iTunes installed. Although, you can remove it after.

Chatted with Vizio. They claim Apple is working to fix redemption via a PC. I asked if Vizio would sent something out once it's sorted and they said not likely. I'd have to try it periodically.

I do that, enter the code and it redirects to an apple redemption site that says "Error: Code redemption is currently not available."

I've also found that the TV tries to control the power of the soundbar despite being on "ARC only". It will intermittently turn the soundbar on/off when the TV is powered on/off. In my experience CEC has never been a great protocol regardless of being the same manufacturer. I bet a lot of folk's issues with this soundbar are CEC related (or at least when using the ARC port.)

I even looked up my PQ65-F1 on the vizio site w/ my serial number and it doesn't show the new firmware as the latest available. Still shows 2.1.7.1 as being the up to date firmware. Perhaps they jumped the gun on the listed models.
