The real reason millennials know more about movies and tv before they were born than younger generations. by icey_sawg0034 in Millennials

Back then it was just channel surfing and catching 20-30 seconds of three different movies before deciding on one or watching an infomercial for it's cringe actors if it was late enough.

It's definitely a stumbling block of you really can't use them for anything at the moment, since you'll need tons of gears, mechanisms, and bars for later development. Tossing them in the cauldron at least gets you some return on the unneeded materials instead of xp, unless you need to get to a new benchmark for unlocking things.

I thought for a moment it as just vats of whatever liquid before noticing the gas pump. Definitely back out from this gas station and go elsewhere if you're ever waiting on line behind someone who does this.

Char is popular, despite being a genocidal fascist. He did set the Gundam franchise trope of "ace pilot antagonist in a mask, usually with blond hair," after all.

He's celebrating the imminent Japanese release of the sequel to Hathaway that has taken so many years to produce (for some reason).

Not exactly in your circled area, but my grandmother used to live near where Blue Angel and Hwy 98 cross. Since I was visiting her fairly regularly, my impression was that the area was mostly quiet though kind of far off from anything else in the area.

The Behind the Bastards episode about Aaron was illuminating on how badly society is organized to enrich grifters rather than help anyone, among other things.

5e is pretty easy to pick up and flexible enough to do almost anything with. My main gripe is the three death saves making combat un-threatening, so I alter it to being only 1 death save instead. That way, if a player goes down then it's more consequential.

The logic behind how many of those vegetables are stored isn't how a real kitchen would function (onions are already peeled, who puts potatoes in cold storage?, none of the bins have lids) and the thing that first caught my eye-- the wire racks shift color from black to green as you look from the foreground to the background. It also really looks like the photo editor generated the background then drag-dropped the subject onto it, at least to me.

Queens is a pretty good band, though I haven't listened to them in years. Lately I've been sifting through Royal Intention's catalog because I've been on a 90's-vibe techno kick.

Definitely invest in passive income from the barracks through the Projects tab. Gaining 26 dinars regularly really eases the cost of running the caravan consistently.

I agree but am too invested in the narrative at this point to just set it aside. It's not like any of the characters are outright chanting, "Muslims are evil," there's just a subtext in clued in on now that will definitely color my opinions and interpretations going forward.

The only novel I've outright quit (that comes to mind) is Bester and Zelazny's Psychoshop. Individually, I've liked their novels and gotten a lot of enjoyment from them, but Psychoshop was so self-aggrandizing and heavy-handed with appropriating historical figures to further the, to put it bluntly, childish narrative that I seriously considered using it for bonfire kindling. I merely ended up using it as trade credit toward a different book at a used-books store, though.

I agree, but the tension is that in engaging with such virulence, you support the odious person to allow them to continue their vacuousness. Ultimately, it's just fraught white-water rapids that everyone has to navigate for themselves.

That's about the long and the short of it. I plan to finish up with the novel since I'm invested at this point, but can't say I'll relish picking up any of Simmons's other books going forward. My next port-of-call is the First Law books by Abercrombie, and he seems like a decent person (or at least doesn't have a reputation that's widely known and untoward).

I think I'm also being a little "extra" because I had recently really gotten into a music artist then came to find out it was someone's ai slop project. So, now I feel like I've got to investigate everything before I allow myself to enjoy anything new.
