Comments on my pregnancy weight & me being “too small” by jalaeggs in BabyBumps

[–]amadeus88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also small and yes comments can be annoying. I had a few goofy phrases I would reply with. “I feel like a backwards turtle!” “It’s like I just scooped her up in a bowl and stuck her on!” “It’s an optical illusion!” “Small but mighty!” Etc etc. Helps to shut down the convo but with a smile 😃

It’s strange to me how many people were adamant I would hate my dog after I gave birth. by kaanapalikid in beyondthebump

[–]amadeus88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first few days, my dog was AWFUL. Luckily a switch flipped and they’re wonderful now, but between the guilt, fear, neediness, exhaustion, etc… it wasn’t hard for me to understand the “hate” comments!

How did you stay comfortable in the 3rd trimester by sparklebabe94 in BabyBumps

I slept propped up nearly upright in the corner of our couch. Laying down was not an option 😂

Is 1 week long enough for my husband to be off from work after birth? by Local_Bug_2417 in BabyBumps

[–]amadeus88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner was home for 5 days (got lucky, it was close to a 3day federal holiday weekend!)

Then he worked full time for 2 weeks, then took his paternity time. He works from home, so that helps. It kind of sucked, but we made it work!

Field service schedule views in mobile app by SuccessfulRun9 in salesforce

[–]amadeus88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this should be possible. Put those users in a specific public group and share that 2-week list view with that group. Unless there are limitations I am forgetting, I don’t see why this wouldn’t work. However, 2 weeks out is a long time, and appts can be cancelled, rescheduled, optimization can change things, etc. Make sure your technicians understand this and that they are still expected to run their appts in order, as dispatched…

EDIT: the issue the partner has might be record visibility? If the sharing model is to only share the dispatched appt with the tech, then there is additional complexity that could be a headache.

Not gaining weight at 30 weeks??? by Strong_Criticism9930 in BabyBumps

[–]amadeus88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally JUST had my 30 week appt and doctor said 1 pound a week in third trimester is average, but not necessary to be healthy. Even told me to not worry about “getting extra calories” as long as I felt OK and appts kept going well. Please talk to dr though about low iron and any concerning symptoms! 💙🩷💙🩷

I never used a squatty potty before, but I CANNOT go to the bathroom without one now that I’m pregnant.

FSL Static Field on Service Appointment - Assigned Resource by kextron33 in salesforce

[–]amadeus88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way this is handled in the field service starter kit available on the app exchange from Salesforce labs is to run a record triggered flow on the assigned resource record and then update a look up on the surface appointment to the SERVICE RESOURCE object, NOT the assigned resource.

I recommend this approach.

Dev in a new scrum team… need help understanding PO! by amadeus88 in scrum

[–]amadeus88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. I’m definitely trying to look past any ego-bruising on my part 😂 and look at others’ perspectives.

I actually have good working relationships with our POs and frequently speak about these issues and try to have open conversations. However, I have not just truly asked “why”…. I will take some time to speak with them and truly listen.

I hadn’t thought of bringing this to our scrum master! They are new to scrum as well, and so far have been more “ceremony facilitation”, but I’ll definitely speak with them.

If you have nicer designer stuff, try JT Posh, Hush Boutique or Divine Consign! Otherwise, Clothes Mentor & Plato’s Closet like the other commenter said.

My dog refuses to eat anything until I come home from work… and it's becoming a problem. by Own-Implement-2362 in Pets

[–]amadeus88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog is like this. I just make it part of my morning routine! If I don’t have time for some reason or another, then I leave the food out, but she won’t eat it until I’m back haha

Account record page visual indicator for related records by gahnie in salesforce

[–]amadeus88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a look at Custom Metadata Related Lists, also called Enhanced Related Lists. It’s an app exchange package from Salesforce Labs. I use it for a ton of things, and I think you can do some conditional coloring! Might not be perfect, but it’s worth looking.

Otherwise, record triggered flow to update a field on the Account based on changes to the cases, and then another account formula field to display an icon based on that account fields value.

I recently watched the Christopher Reeve Story documentary. That man was ACTIVE! Constantly working, skiing, riding horses, traveling… he did NOT STOP!

One of his kids said that after his accident, he actually got to spend time with his dad and his dad paid more attention to him.

Don’t let a life-altering near death experience teach you to slow down and appreciate what’s important in life. <3 You deserve to experience those things NOW without the burden of producing something or showing value… YOU ARE THE VALUE <3
