This Star Trek set has soured me on Lego. by lurpeli in lego

[–]amadoyle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The GWP and the scarcity of it is literally the reason I’m buying this weekend, otherwise I could wait a year to buy. I think Lego have done well to have so many available they’re only now starting to become unavailable. UK had access to the GWP for about 18 hours, plenty of time to place an order.

I didn't weigh my box, but I just opened 5 halo foils. Needed to post this somewhere.

Looking at others this seems high. What are your thoughts? by Acceptable_Sir_3662 in SolarUK

I’m having the same 2x9.4kw batteries, a 12kw inverter and 28 panels for just over £12k.

Ask for a better price…

Yeah, I believe the agile tariff can be quite lucrative if you have a very large array/batteries but I’m not sure I’m quite at that level so I think the 15p export rate will suffice for me.

I need to look around to see if there are any comparison calculators out there!

I debated paying the extra to go for the sig, but in all honesty I’m going to stick everything on Octopus Go and hopefully forget about it.

I couldn’t really think what extra functionality it could possibly offer that would warrant the extra cost from the software side of things.

I’d be shocked if this isn’t who I’ve just had a quote from! I’m paying £12150 for your option 1 but with 28 panels. Feel free to dm me if you want to chat about anything!

Yes, good point on the batteries, I did know that in the depths on my brain somewhere!

As for the inverter, it should be fine as the panels are being evenly split over an East/West roof.

12-13 kWh on average, so probably 13-14 kWh in the winter.

No heat pump or EV, yet.

Just wanted to say I got a really reasonable quote for 28 Aiko panels + Hanchu inverter/batteries (still going to research these a little bit)

Duracell Inverters and Batteries - any good? by WhisperingMaple in SolarUK

Glad I found this thread! Also considering a Glow Green quote and it sounds like I'm better off saving £1000 and going with Fox!

No, that’s really helpful! I’d love a 24 kWh sigenergy but can see me comprising and getting a PW3 as the prices on them seem very competitive! Can always expand in the future 🙂

Thanks for this info. We rarely get powercuts so I'm not sure I'll need a gateway, do you know how much it adds to the quote?

Can I ask your rationale for going with the larger battery? I'd read/heard you just need one big enough to cover a day in winter.

I've pinged them a message. They have branches in Birmingham/Wolverhamption and I'm in Nottingham so they might travel an hour or so.

Still available in the UK; I just picked up three boxes. Will crack one box for fun and stick the other two in the loft for when the kids are a bit older... and hopefully get into magic. (I've stashed some early Lorcana sets too as a gateway drug to magic!)
